There was a 4 year waiting list to have a name you wanted on the vehicles at a cost of £500.

Long service rewards for drivers was they can name the new lorry.

It was likely because we sacked a load of people just before Christmas for using our postal order system to send CD’s and DVD’s to themselves 🤣

We made a trip to the Croydon Ikea shortly after we moved to Brighton to buy furniture etc, I had never been before and was somewhat reluctant as it was on my Birthday. My wife informed me that Ikea offer a free Swedish meatball meal on your birthday, so off we went. I ordered the meatballs and queued up on reaching the register I duly showed them my driving licence to prove it was my birthday to a bemused member of staff, I look back at my wife who was rolling around on the floor in fits of laughter, from that day forward I have never trusted her again.

I have and it seems you have to walk through the whole store to get out? I ended up in the baby department at one stage with pregnant women all standing and sitting around stroking their stomachs, it was a bit strange as I had gone in with my wife to collect bunk beds and didn’t expect to end up in a maternity unit. No desire at all to go back to Ikea, but you can’t knock how well they’ve done and how so many people seem to bloody love the place.

You didn't pick up the leaflet as you entered. There is a map, where you can go through doors to avoid complete sections.

Never stepped foot in IKEA (who needs it when you've got Furniture Now?) but mein gott do the Scandinavians, specifically Sverige and Norge, do global brands so prolifically.
