I think he's due a place in the first team for next season. I know that those at the higher echelons of the club have very high hopes for him. Probably the thing that goes against him is that we've got several players that play where he does, and are still short in CMs that play deeper and are more combative. On which, there's still a lot of noise about KDH and, while he looks classy and has PL experience and Leicester need to sell, he also plays the more advanced CM role.
Peupion not up to it for me. He'll have a good career, but is not the player if we want to challenge for the top half of the PL.
Doesn’t seem to start many games for Blackburn though. I’d have thought that if he was good enough for a PL squad, then he’d be a first-name-on-the-teamsheet type player in a mid-table Championship team.

Quality of player is a bit different though. If he is nursed in like Hinshelwood and others you never know. Fair point though.
I think he’s got a chance.

I wouldn’t get too excited about him being a first teamer for us next season - he’s only started 1 of Blackburn’s last 13 games.

Like Sarmiento, he’s not made himself an essential starter for a Championship team yet so might need another loan.
Felt like he had been starting a fair few but has been a perennial sub since Tomasson got sacked.

And if you ever follow what blackburn fans say on twitter, moran and Ayari are their scape goats. They really want both nowhere near the first team so not sure how can be a prem first teamer. Doubt both will ever make it.

Would be very surprised if he is not on loan again next season, probably one of the teams who expect to challenge in the championship or maybe even a newly promoted team in the prem. got too many players ahead of him to just waste away next season

I wouldn't listen too much to the chicken pluckers, Moran has the makings of a poor mans Lallana. Ayari seems like a poor mans Sarmiento...but he's still very young

Blackburn fans' forum don't reckon he'd good enough for a meh Championship team like Blackburn, let alone for us.

Not my opinion - just the messenger!

Blackburn's problem is they have the second worst defence in the division. It's been piss poor all season. Tomasson got sacked and - invariably - the new man chooses experience over youth. However, Blackburn have dropped Moran and done worse.

I've watched him 4 or 5 times this season and he has always been positive, incisive with his passing and gets forward. I remain optimistic that - for his age - he's doing OK.

Sarmiento was a benchwarmer for West Brom but has been a terrific loan signing for the vastly superior Ipswich. I think the Championship is a marathon and many managers will choose physicality, power and raw speed over youthful guile. If Ipswich don't get promoted I hope Moran goes there on loan when Sarmiento comes back to us as he surely will.

Tbh I never really trust fans opinions that much, especially (as someone mentioned on another comment) on loan players as they often end up being scapegoats when they play badly. Fans decide they don’t care enough or they don’t want to develop other clubs players for them etc etc.

Fans also generally know f*** all about anything anyway 🤣
