South Korea v Malaysia
Jordan v Bahrain

Half 11 kicks offs worth keeping an eye on.

Hopefully an emphatic SK win, or just a standard win if Jordan fail to beat Bahrain.

South Korea are now losing 2-1🤦‍♂️This would be a huge upset; Malaysia can’t even qualify for the next round but their fans are in tears celebrating.

South Korea and Jordan both throwing their games, in an attempt to not top the group.

South Korea 3-2 Malaysia deep in injury time (Son pen on 94). Bahrain 1-0 Jordan, likewise.

As it stands, South Korea tops group, Bahrain second, Jordan third with the best record of all 3rd place finishers so far. 16 teams progress, only 6 groups, so must be some 3rd place finishers going through.

FFS. Korea concede an equaliser in the 104th minute which the keeper should have saved.

Palestine have made it through as one of the top 4 3rd place qualifiers! Jordan and Syria are the others, along with Indonesia hanging on by their fingernails. Either Oman or Kyrgyzstan could pip them to the final spot.

That was actually f***ing ridiculous :lolol: South Korea are ranked over 100 places higher than Malaysia in the world rankings, but have conveniently conceded 3 goals for the first time since they played Brazil in the World Cup and now dodge Japan in the next round.

Instead, Japan will play Bahrain in the next round and are very likely to make the final. Don’t expect to see Mitoma until Sheff United away in the league.

To be honest - Mitoma is injured and would not be likely to feature for us very soon, regardless of Japan's progress.

This outcome (South Korea getting an easy route, that keeps Son away until after our game) is a better outcome than the risk of Japan knocking them out.
