At Tenerife airport. took and hour to get through with biggish queues at airport, a few flights arrived at same time, COVID checks and random tests slowed it down plus just 2 officers on passport control and way to many people for that amount. In resort it’s all good as ST said it’s all well managed with mask wearing protocols etc in indoor public places being followed.

The journey here wasn’t that enjoyable. And a lot of people you’re unlikely to socialise with at the pool, if you catch the drift! We were going to go back to Maspalomas in GC but came here as the nicest bitt there, Meloneras is all boarded up and in some renovations.

Car hire is a problem in the canaries now, if you planned it, they’ve cut capacity by 80% due COVID, so what there is goes fast and prices becomes nuts. I booked through holiday autos, with a local company called top car as only 500 euro excess compared to much higher with others, FYI, as it’s fully refundable up to 24 hours before, knowing I was going to go to Tenerife or Gran Canaria and having checked flights times, I booked car in both places, 13 days in a normal size hatchback was £432 in Tenerife, £385 in Gran Canaria one week before we left, 3 days out I cancelled GC on booking Tenerife and GC was now £575, Tenerife now £660 for same car, same time and same company. Day before travel it was now £790.

If you plan in using a car book today! If you want any tips on tests (I took return to uk test with me - £25 per person with £5.95 next day delivery). Just ask.

Probably my favourite place on the island on a Sunday afternoon

This place looks awesome. My Dad has an apartment in Adeje in Mare Verde and we often walk to playa del Duque with the kids as its normally quiet but must admit we've never gone this far and this bar looks good. Can you walk all the way along the beach front to get there? Does it do food?

Would like a restaurant with a nice view but we aren't massively fussy about high end restaurants. Seen a few of them Inc a Michelen star place but we just don't enjoy it any more. A friend is looking after the kids one night and we want to go for dinner.

Also, any other Albion fans in Adeje right now want to meet up for the Everton game Saturday

Having to endure a year and a half of not getting away was hell.
Having done my tax return last year a found that I did 34 days more work last year simply because I was not able to get away so stayed home and carried on earning.

So having to navigate a few piece of paperwork and a couple of tests I don’t see this as a obstacle.

A couple of posters mentioned a shortage of cars available to hire (it's the same on the mainland too), but www.doyouspain.com is usually a good go to site for the keenest prices. We have a 4x4 booked for Fuerteventura in a fortnights time as our birding trips take us off road and it was half the price via them rather than going directly to the supplier.

One blessing for us is the trip counts as an internal flight so just need our vaccination certs.
