Was always on the cards with our injury crisis
Maybe or on the cards more likely because he’s not earned a first choice at West Brom / it’s not worked out as hoped and it might be better for his development to be sent somewhere else. (Which looks like a possibility and the club statement hints at)

As @Stat Brother says - the difficult thing for the Albion re: wingers / forwards is managing a (hopefully) squad where by mid Feb - a lot of your players are back and you only have a couple of PL games to cope with. So how and where do you add to them ? Replacing March ? - maybe - but Albion need to think (and will) long term

It may help but is not the answer. We need to strengthen the squad with new additions. RDZ agrees with me.

Yes really.
Because it means Jeremy won't be able to play for another team, therefore keeping him at the Albion.
Leaving us with 3 wingers + potentially another 2 'wide players' from February onwards, on top of those currently filling in, Pedro and Milner.

Playing Jeremy and signing a new winger means we'd go from no wingers to 8 (ish) in the space of a month.
Pedro and Milner aren’t wingers. Although he’s been abit better in recent weeks, Buonanotte is not quite ready to play regularly in a team chasing Europe.

That leaves Mitoma (Asia cup), Adringa (AFCON), Enciso (recovering from a long term injury), March (likely out for the season) and Fati (out until at least Feb but isn’t ours anyway and we’d need a replacement for him in summer anyway)

Even when Mitoma and Adingra are back in Feb, Enciso will be just back from injury and won’t be able to start until around March.

And besides, Sarmiento has spent half a season on the bench anyway, he may aswell get some starts between now and Feb, and then minutes from the bench in the Premier League with us.

So yes, really. We’ll sign a winger

Yeah I'm not actually arguing against him being here, as such, but he went out on loan for game time, which he was getting..
But as we're saying that'll rapidly decrease from the spring onwards meaning he and the club will have all but lost an entire season.

If, as you say, he were to play tomorrow that will basically mean the club are all in on Jeremy right now, and I'm not so sure they are - just yet.

Loan to high flying Hull and Rosenior?

Aaron seems to have rediscovered his spark under Rosenior

You could be right but we don’t know what we were looking to get from the loan to WBA. It’s all part of his journey to see what level he can play at, if he can fit in at a different club, has the championship toughened him, etc. We don’t know but no one expected him to set the world alight at WBA and return as the complete PL player.
Maybe WBA didn’t want to keep him and need to strengthen in other areas.
Surely he’s a useful addition on the bench while we find out how long we will be without Mitoma and Adingra.

I confess that I did expect him to shine for WBA
