I have never once had a pair of Adidas trainers that fitted me well. After some years of such heartache, we have decided to go our separate ways.
This put me off Fanta a while back!

American Express for credit card, unless it's not accepted. I do it for the points
Heinz for baked beans - can't leave them despite many cheaper options
Apple - can't understand anyone who doesn't have an apple phone, that said I still have a fitbit. Know I should move but don't want to lose historic data!
Brighton and Hove Albion - can't understand any other loyalty
Hollister - t shirts - they just fit me better than elsewhere, despite trying others I always go back
Mr Marvis - shorts - great shorts, expensive, but worth it
Nike for trainers and socks, but also Asics for running trainers (not that I run as much as I should)

I find the complete reverse. It's the big name brands that don't last. I've had three Apple products over the years - not one lasted 18 months before having to be replaced. We bought a SMEG cooker when we did up the house - it didn't last three years. It's replacement has lasted 14 years (I can't even remember the make) and is still going strong. I see very little connection between price and quality
I think you’re probably right with a lot of things .
It’s taken me a long time to find the brands of things that are actually worth the money. Many are not.
For work clothing and gear I buy the stuff that has been tried and tested. Even then some have fallen short.
For non work stuff, especially clothing, I find mid range stuff suits me just fine and lasts as long as I’d expect.
As for Apple. I use their phones, probably because I am used to them and get along with their tech. But every single iPhone I’ve had has failed before it’s “shelf life”. It’s usually a charging port issue and I suspect it’s built in obsolescence.

I've tried lots over the years, most of them are crap. Samba in suede stretch nicely ( I have square feet) and do have a little support.
Notable mention also to Clarks, desert boots, and wallabees. . .also Kickers, been wearing them on and off since the mid 70's when my Dad first got them and I had a matching kids pair.
