If you felt that way about another poster then it would be just a justified as anybody annoyed by Swansman.

If enough people felt the same way I'm sure they'd be treated the same way.
And how would I go about that? Post a thread and get people to vote on whether they should stay or go? As I said, it sets a dangerous precident.

My point is there appears to be plenty of people who enjoy the majority of Swansman's posts, and many more who are indifferent. It feels very unfair to single him out - and reduce his posting ability, even if temporarily - just because some don't like what he says.

F*ck knows, I'm glad it's not my decision.

I'm guessing it's because Bozza/the mods are receiving a fair amount of complaints/reports about him which we aren't privvy too.

I wouldn't have slowed him down myself, but then again I'd have probably just not checked the forum for a few days and hoped it hadn't burnt down by the time I'd got back. Obviously Bozza is slightly more professional than me.

This ongoing drama has become so tedious. Tinpot, even, on both sides.

The biggest tragedy in my opinion is that @Ernest hasn't been around since the Swede joined.
Would have been the absolutely perfect counter-balance.
Is there any news about this that can be publicly stated. My all time favourite poster by a long way - after the havoc of the past few years you always fear the worst

If I remember correctly, I read a post a few months back from someone who knows him, and said he’s all well and good.
Hoping that’s the case. I do miss him on here.

Yes, the great man is fine and dandy.

The NSC bullies got their way though

FFS don't demand that!!! Proper annoying! Last time someone did that the Netflix thread went, the Connolly thread went & there were shit loads of gaps in between threads. If you want to take a break fine, but don't ruin it for the rest of us by leaving holes in threads that make you feel like you've missed something important! I've spent to many times on here thinking I'm going mad because things people are replying to are no longer there. 😂 You're Marmite (or Bovril on toast to the ones in between).
Don't go down in NSC history as HB&B, nice to see the Netflix thread starter back though, even though I probably missed loads of good stuff on Netflix due to the absence! 😉
@Bozza spends a shit load of time & effort on keeping this going & so do the mods. There is even a seagull on the banner now after my friend asked me to ask what happened to our banner. Some people find you annoying, I don't care either way, I just want to enjoy the forum without gaps as I haven't yet put anyone on ignore,

I think it’s quite nice Swansman has an appreciation thread and if anyone doesn’t want to take part of it, plenty other threads for you to contribute your sparkling content, cliche alert it really isn’t a zero sum game. Being a Potter stan is a really sticky wicket now the sun has gone down so rapidly on his Albion fan sentiment - but it’s useful for this messageboard and wider debate that someone ploughs that lonely furrow I think, it lacked someone doing that on here after Poyet went. Not a pleasant job tho, of course, given the pissing against the wind factor but useful for NSC if he does decide to plod on and defend Potts’ record

I agree, but not with the monotonous frequency, on so many threads, which end up all about him and his detractors.
That’s not really true though is it? That’s just the smear campaign narrative to back the reactive abuse used on him so he looks like the bad guy, isn’t it? People are clearly hunting a chance to make a complaint about him. This thread is proof.

Do that and come back. If you want my opinion, you posted too much and strangled the life out of threads on occasion because you want to have the last word. Your posts are often very well informed and interesting. But just don't post as much.
Agree with this, his knowledge of football is pretty good and that seems to wind up people.

Just catching up with this.

Jeez, the people that have opened a thread started by swanny, obviously about an issue he has and then have to neck to comment on said thread complaining about him posting too much.

The clue was on the thread opener and yet they couldn't ignore it and we're unable to resist the opportunity to have another dig at swanny.
