So suddenly the word of this agent, he is saying anything to get his client transferred is the truth? I doubt it. You seem to be connecting a lot of things to make them facts. Arsenal might be for all I know, or they are respectfully conducting their business exactly as we are with Shaktar by submitting actual bids for a player we want to sign. Everything else is hearsay and conjecture. I'm not defending Arsenal BTW, but I don't see as we can go around like we're a shining knight when we're also having bids rejected for a player that we've effectively unsettled.

Tbh there are reasons to dislike all the so called big 6 or 7. It is what it is.

I said to my very close Arsenal supporting mate if Caicedo leaves for them, I will want City to win the league. This one really feels like the straw to break the camel's back if he does go. Surely Bloom has to put his foot down at some point.
I know he is 21 and this a huge opportunity for him, but give it 6 months, and you can go where you want.

I don't think they're around that much now, they got an absolute pasting from other Arsenal fans outside the ground one day, as they were seen to be making the club a laughing stock with their shenanigans. I think the rise of the Ashburton Army, similar to the black hoodied goon squad at Selhurst, has finally put paid to them.

They're just doing the job clubs and players pay them to do. The real culprits to my mind are the authorities running football too scared to put rules in place to counter all the underhand practices.
What is an agent supposed to do; client: 'get me a transfer to Arsenal', agent: 'it is against my moral code of conduct' - not going to happen is it.

Should just scrap January transfer windows tbh. Build a squad best you can for the season see who is best.

Seems like you are repeatedly defending Arsenal. I'm not sure why. It's very straightforward. The agents are simply middle men, being used to protect the interests of the people who pay them. In this potential transaction, any money the agents get from Caicedo will be being paid by Arsenal, ergo, on this deal, the agent is in effect, working for Arsenal. In this instance, unless another club comes in, he'll be working to get MC to Arsenal done. He'd do nothing that Arsenal haven't either advised or approved. That's not hearsay, that's how business works. The moment that Matviyenko or his agent starts saying publicly that he wants to be sold to Brighton will be the moment that you'll be able to argue that Brighton are doing the same to Shaktar, because there is no way that any agent worth his salt would issue that message without the bidding club's agreement.
It could be the case that Caicedo's or Matviyenko's agent, or both, is incompetent and doing a terrible job at achieving whatever they think is their role.
I don't claim to know much about the lad at Shakhtar, but Caicedo's definitely on his way this summer anyway. This nonsense achieves nothing for anybody.

Caicedo's agent will be paid for by Caicedo as a cut from whatever they agree. Arsenal probably have their own agent working with Caicedo's agent and dealing with Brighton. It's rarely straightforward. Look at the Cucurella saga with ManCity making the bid, Cucurella stating he was desperate to join them and that went all south. I doubt ManCity wanted that to happen as it alerted everyone else that they weren't getting the deal done. As well as Arsenal wanting Caicedo, they'll also want to negotiate the lowest contract they can get him on too -and they'll be negotiating hard with his agent to achieve that not having him in their pocket.
That’s how it should work - but it doesn’t. In most deals clubs also pay the agent fees, rather than it coming from the player.
