A game of fine margins. Foul on Saka leads to the 1st goal, clear penalty not given first half. 2nd half we were the better team, bad defending for 2nd goal, what a cross by Griezmann, lucky to be on the pitch though. Missed penalty by Kane, should have let somone else take it especiallywhen its ur club team mate in goal.

Well done England, u did us proud. Only 18 months until we go through the same emotions again.

Did they though? Tchoumeni’s goal was a great finish, but let’s be fair, it’s not like France had carved England open, he’s takes a swing from 30 yards out and 99/100 that either hits the first man or sails miles over.
It didn’t though.

Thought England just about played to their potential... but France didn't, except for the opening 20 minutes. Inconsistent reffing, though it felt like England got fewer favourable calls. Well played match, overall; could have gone either way, honestly.

France will either destroy Morocco or lose in a frustrating 1-0 snorefest where they bang their heads against a quasi-immovable 10-man wall in front of Bono.

They can take Pride in that.

Thought the defence would cost us before the World Cup and so it proved to be. Aside from that, I have watched football for 50 years and don’t understand the rules any more. What’s a penalty and what isn’t, what’s a sending off (last man) and what isn’t!

Morocco have arguably the best organised defence in the tournament, but Mbappe is the most explosive forward. Personally I don't see either of your scenarios happening as I think France will win 2-0 or 2-1.

I must say, I found that rather a quiet game somehow. Seemed to be a lack of atmosphere, and a lack of passion - I thought we would have thrown everything at them in extra time, but we didn't really. It all sort of panned out roughly as expected.

Shame i thought it was to be year. A very good quality game.. On the night we played well but lost to a good side. Lets face it beat USA Iran Wales and Senegal. Look at who Morocco beat on way to semis. Same as Euros easy path to last 8 and it seems we missed an opportunity. Funny thing to say but I feel a lot worse after an Albion defeat

Maguire is out of form for club but has been immense for England and one of the first names on the team sheet so I don't see your point
Maguire's not the only one though he was at fault for the 2nd goal. I wouldn't have picked Sterling who's out of form at Chelsea.

And with the domestic events surrounding Raheem this week, I wouldn't have brought him on as a sub.

In a game where England had a number of deadball chances from freekicks, James Maddison not featuring at all is mystifying.

If you're not playing well (or in Maguire's case, at all) domestically, IMHO you shouldn't be picked let alone play for the national side.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

But it's always been a game of opinions, so disagreement is welcome and respected.
