That’s like replacing a four course Sunday roast with a couple of cream crackers.
Yeah, but you know that cream crackers are great comfort food and the Sunday roast is always full of expectation but comes out with burnt potatoes and rotten meat.

Oh well, I suppose it's back to that mundane task of supporting the Albion.
I think there is less burden of expectation and you know that you only have to wait a week for the next disappointment.

We were not, played well but definitely not the better team.
Agree with this. England played some good football but relied on two penalties from nothing situations as a prospect of extra time.

We can feel disappointed as England is our home, but not hard done by.

Thought we played well.

Moments of brilliance win games, fantastic ball of Griezmann - the cross was the goal.

Great first pen by Kane, second unfortunate, but that’s not the reason we didn’t win, we just needed a little bit more. Great saves Lloris.

My only criticism is the Sterling sub, genuinely don’t understand bringing on a player who is in poor form.

Well played England…..

I don’t get the we played well, we were OK at best.

The contained us with ease and after we scored upped it another level
Agree. England had a few good spells but didn’t really worry France.

No reason to dump the manager. After all, who looks like a better prospect?

It is what it is.

I’ve said it before, Giroud is one of the best centre forwards in the world. I remember him taking us to the cleaners when playing for Arsenal at the Amex. They were better than us in important positions. We might have got away with it with a decent ref but we probably have little argument with the result.

Brightside, despite the one booking, I think we are guaranteed to win the fair play award now!

Fair play's coming home!

I’d Iove a Morocco Argentina final.
Maybe France annihilating Croatia in the first half of the final with a 20:1 lead and then both teams being disqualified from the tournament because they’d been smoking weed in the dressing rooms at half time and came out of the tunnel in rainbow shirts in much too much of a benevolent mood with each other to play the second half.

Otherwise, I’d be really happy to see a Morocco v Argentina final.

Croatia semi final, Italy final and tonight were all games we could have won but didn't. We need to find a way to win big games rather than being plucky losers. We played as well as France tonight but as per Gary, Roy and Jordan, this was an opportunity missed.
