Rinsed? Over what?
You constantly pick out my comments and challenge them, even if they’re simply “the sky is blue”. The last one was about Lloris on the penalty, a few hours ago, in this thread. I’m right every single time, if you read back. If you’re going to constantly challenge someone for frankly unknown reasons, I’m a horrible choice…

No, see you've got it completely wrong again. in previous tournaments we were naive, played gung-ho and pumped it forward. Cleverer oppponents played more patiently, took the sting out of us, we got frustrated a crumbled. Now WE are playing the intelligent game and credit to Southgate for identifying that and implementing it
I’m not sure how clever it was playing without energy or quality until around 25 minutes, at which point we could’ve been a goal down. Going gung-ho isn’t the same as playing with attacking ambition and not thinking possession in our third is “controlling” a game. The last 3/4 of the game, England played good stuff. Confident football, nothing gung-ho about it. Controlling the game and picking moments, rather than sideways, back, long, midfield battle, sideways, back, long.

Brilliantly navigated game from the off. A few blips, but anyone who thinks our slow, inviting start wasn't part of the game plan needs to give their head a wobble. Absolutely no need to start the game in 5th gear v a team who have shown to fade in games this tournament.

Well, 4 games into this World Cup and we’re up 12-2 on aggregate, having not lost a game, nor played anyone below 20th in the world rankings.

Make what you want of France, it’s a 50-50 game for me. They’ve been beaten already by Cameroon, albeit with a weakened side. They’re ranked one place above us, and I suspect that if you stopped the tournament now and re-ran the rankings we’d be above them on the balance of results so far. Plucky underdogs, we are not.

It will be a different game, for sure, but as much maligned out defensive line is, we haven’t conceded a goal for 3 games. We’re as good as anyone at this tournament, make no mistake.

Well done England. 3 clean sheets, no losses - And still no bookings?

Really good WC so far for the Lions.

Cracking job. Thoroughly professional. If that had been Argentina or Holland there’d be people on here wanking themselves silly.

Four games, 12 for. Last three Southgate tournaments = semi, final, at least quarter finals

Reactively sticking his arm out to the mishit or deflected shot.

Diving to the feet of attacker clean through 5 yards out.
And if Senegal had scored, we'd still probably have beat them, so he didn't 'keep us in the world cup'

The first 35 minutes aside, that was as good as we were likely to see.

We'll be going into that QF as slight underdogs IMHO as they're existing champions, but that'll probably suit us just fine.

Anything less than reaching the QF would've been a disappointment to me, so they've hit my expectations already.

We've got enough up front to worry any defence. And we've got a world-class shot stopper in goal.

Bring on the French!

Well done England, that looked like a clusterfuck in the making before the first goal. Turned into a stroll in the park

FFS!... Gormless Gareth lucks out AGAIN!

Clueless selections. Only beat Iran because they had a mare. Couldn't even beat the Colonials and Senegal would have battered us tonight if Mané had been here.

Palarse dullard OUT!

I just asked you what the Lloris offense was as it wasn’t clear to me, that’s all. I explained why.

And I didn’t understand your confidence post, so asked. I didn’t know what you meant; it wasnt clear and I’m sure others think similar. I think that’s all my replies but I’m not counting.

But given the prolific rate you’re posting at today it wouldn’t surprise me if I’d inadvertently responded to a few more.

I have a question, the rate you’re posting, the confident and aggressive attitude you’re displaying…..have you done a load of bugle whilst watching the games today?
