To be fair to Cucurella, he was QUALITY for us from day one. That's why his leaving hit so hard. A shame (kinda) to see how much he has regressed this season
Great at the start and end, but his form was random in our in our long mid season trough.

If this really is a quote from him, shows what a total scroat he is.
Begging the question:

Why doesn't he want to stay at Chelsea?

My gut instinct tells me it’s the wag and the agent who are scroats. Cucu is just easily led.
BS - he’s a grown man for Fs sake... he needs to take responsibility for his own words... he’s a mercenary footballer plain and simple.

The fact that his wife and agent clearly support his actions doesn’t change the fact he’s a big haired weasel.

What a non-story. Who in their right mind wouldn’t want to play for Barcelona, it’s just crap click bait.
He dropped a bollock leaving Brighton so soon, and this will no doubt come back to hau him, but he’s made his bed……..

I doubt it, his wife or agent probably looks after the laundry as suggested above

What I don't get from these kind of articles is the insinuation that Potter identified and brought these players into the club ignoring the whole recruitment system in place.
Any outlet that feels it has to remind the reader who everyone is by mentioning their greatest hit is instantly null and void:

Katy Perry, the "I kissed a girl" star
Graham "it is what it is" Potter.

File this under "meh"

He was asked if he would one day like to play for the team he went through the youth academy of. He said it would be nice

STOP THE PRESS.
This would be my first thought. But then I recall him responding in a similar way to a similar question 'would you like to play for Man City' and giving a similar reply 'it would be nice'.
A few weeks later he was handing in a transfer request so....

I really don't get the hate here now 4 months after he left. Say you were earning, I don't know, maybe 50k a year designing web pages for your local firm and you hear you could earn 300k doing the exact same job for Google. Drop a few hints to your boss who makes it clear they can't afford to pay you more or break the wage structure where you work. Do you genuinely believe if you then interview for Google and get the job, your work colleagues would start a hate campaign because you wanted to get the most for your family? Leave the guy alone now please.

No. But that’s not what happened. Which is why people like Bissouma / White etc don’t get the bad feeling Cucurella does.

But some of the main differences between those transfers are nothing to do with Cucurella. Arsenal stumped up 50m at the start of the transfer window to sign White. If Man City had done exactly the same for Cucurella we'd have accepted it and he'd have gone in good standing. Whereas if Arsenal had dragged the White transfer out and made him hand in a transfer request, it would be White we'd be booing every week. At the end of the day both of them gave us one good season and moved on.

Bissouma gave us several good seasons, made it clear he wanted to move on and we granted his wish because we got a good fee. A decade earlier Liam Bridcutt, in the same position, with the same importance to the team, with similar length of service, made it clear he wanted to leave but we didn't get a good offer, he sulked around and became a bit of a pariah.

We don't really know how White or Bissouma could have acted if things played out differently
