I heard he's off to Chelsea as part of its 'asset stripping' of the Albion 🤦‍♂️

Currently in Cobham for a medical and it's DEFIANTLY ALL POTTER'S FAULT!

It’s exactly because of our identification of players like Caicedo, Enciso and Buonannote that Winstanley is being recruited.

Picking up those highly rated South American wonder kids is going to get a whole lot harder.

Would be extremely surprised if that is all down to Winstanley. Much the same as Locadia, Jahanbaksh, etc not being his fault. It's the structure and reach of the scouting network plus data analysis that works, not one person

Additionally, we offer those kids a realistic and proven pathway to first team football, whereas the likes of Chelsea are almost never going to get a 17 year old anywhere near first team football for years to come if ever. Let's be honest this boys interest was in the press last summer, and there was nothing to stop any other big club swooping in if they wanted him.

Yup.

I think Brighton will keep dealing in South America. Its a continent English clubs always struggled to establish themselves in, but easier since the last work permit changes.

At any given time there will be 100+ future top players and 100+ players already ready for the PL spread over South America... neither Chelsea or Brighton are going to be able or want to sign all of them.

Chelsea’s will not depend on one person either. Winstanley will have knowledge, experience and know who are contacts are in that region.

Yes we have a pathway, but Boehly is looking at a Portuguese club to become Chelsea’s development club. That’s going to be a much easier adjustment for some, then us offering them a season in Belgium.

I agree with the others recent comments Last time I heard (which was before we made c£100m profit through transfers, ie, it could now be more), we had 300 scouts around the world. We'll have numerous across South America, maybe getting close to three figures. Pretty sure there will be a head scout somewhere co-ordinating this (or there are various regional/continental scouts) reporting not only to Winstanley but also to Weir.

Ah the oracle has spoken so it's on.

Who cares if it's a rehash of what I posted 10 DAYS ago, now the dickhead has posted an exclusive, it's on.

Can't wait.

Oh, I'll have to, oh well.....

don't kill what little bit of joy we may possibly have before the season is halted for the Qatar football circus.
Exactly. These unfounded Chelsea rumours need to be balanced off with quotes from Tevez comparing our potential new lad to Messi!
