Quite a lot of the entourage from the mid 60's are most likely pushing up daisies.

If there's anything in it my guess would be she was star struck and happy to be where she was . . . this whole case has been instigated by a cash hungry lawyer. but its nothing more than a wild guess. Biggest alarm bell to me was how/why such a young girl would be in that situation.

We had a few 'groupies' back in the day, some of them were quite young, 6-8 years younger than me when I was in my mid 20's . . . . (I can say that with confidence as a few are friends to this day)
I don't ever recall girls under 16 being out at gigs and clubs when we were in our pomp. . . It's a long time ago but it would have been noticeable to my mind, for many reasons. It was also commented on amongst many of us in bands that certain girls were younger than the average at the time. . . . so IF young girls had been about and taken advantage of it would have been very noticable. . . . and not tolerated/approved of . . . .maybe us Sussex lads are too gentlemanly ;-)

I wonder if Ringo, Paul, Jagger and even Dear Old Barry Gibb are now 's******* like big black German Shepherds'?

No we don't know her character or who she is but again, consider what it takes to come forward against someone like Dylan. And we can err on the side of probably because like I just said the vast majority of women at some point in there lives are abused at some level. The girls and women in our own families probably have or probably will be abused because of their gender.

While I understand your sentiment, all I can say is with that bizarre criteria for assuming probable guilt I hope if I’m ever unfortunate enough to find myself before a court that you are nowhere near that jury.

Can I ask what you mean by "If there's anything in it my guess would be she was star struck and happy to be where she was . . . " ?

nothing more than being a teenage groupie . . . . . . getting caught up in the excitement tagging along for the ride .Although I/we know nothing about the ride. . . 6 weeks is a bit more than a post gig one night stand though. Who knows.

Definitely guilty.

Seems he was living in his apartment in the Chelsea hotel in adjoining rooms to his lover/to be wife Sara and her daughter from late 1964 so there is no definite in it, unless Sara and her daughter were also depraved.

All I'm saying is for far too long victims of abuse have not been believed and therefore habitual offenders have got away with vile life styles.

Well, of course and I agree with you on that point. What I can’t agree with you on is assuming probable guilt because most women have been abused in some way in their life.
Most people will be the victim of a crime in their life. Doesn’t mean I robbed your shed.

I agree, but they are fortunately a very small minority. Very few people get themselves into positions of such power . . . sadly a seemingly higher proportion of those that do abuse it.

I have seen with my own eyes a crazy person bash their own head 3 times against a wall to use as evidence for the police that someone had assaulted them. A default belief is a very, very dangerous road to go down unless you are happy punishing innocent people.

In this case my gut feeling is guilt. But as above a gut feeling is meaningless.

Yes, as unreasonable as it may appear at times, this is our legal system. It’s primary function is to protect the innocent and it’s secondary function is to expose and punish the guilty. If we accept that as it’s function, inevitably some guilty will go free. It’s an inevitability of maintaining the primary function of protecting the innocent.

From 2 minutes 13. And this was regarded as perfectly fine in the 70s. I taped this track off Bob Harris or Peel

The times they are a changed. And good. But a Tardis is a difficult machine.

I can't imagine even Bad news/SPinal tap would go there now

I have no idea whether the allegation being made is true or not.

Sadly, allegations of this nature are very easily made and very difficult for an innocent party to disprove. Once the allegation becomes public knowledge there is a permanent stain on the character accused regardless of any outcome. Shame.

Having supported someone through the reporting of an alleged rape, I can tell you in no uncertain terms that it is not an easy process for the accuser to go through.

Maybe the someone you helped doesnt tell the full story though. It could be very difficult for some and very easy for some.
