If Nuno leaves Wolves for palace I suddenly really want to know what happened with him at Wolves.

Previously I didn't care but you don't willingly walk away from Wolves with the intention of joining palace.

He didn't willingly walk away. He was fired. I posted this on the manager merry go round:

I read somewhere recently (possibly the guardian?) that leaving Wolves wasn't his choice. A quick google brings up this article behind a paywall from the athletic: https://theathletic.co.uk/2604488/2021/05/22/wolves-nuno-departure-premier-league/ and this one from the times https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/former-benfica-manager-in-frame-as-wolves-sack-nuno-6zw77ft9n (also behind a paywall).

So joining palace will be a 'I need a job, I have a faberge egg addiction to pay for' type-thing rather than a 'I'm leaving my current job so I can take this one' kind of type-thing.

I'm baffled why it appears Ancelotti is a frontrunner for Real Madrid, but hasn't been mentioned in respect of spurs.

Because it was a done deal by the time it "broke". He wasn't mentioned at all before that, expectation was Allegri, Pochettino or Conte apparently until whispers started coming out about an "extraordinary board meeting" at Everton yesterday.

Who said Everton fans weren’t clamouring for Potter? Obviously like the Spurs fans, they are clearly quite deluded to want our dunce of a manager who hasn’t proved anything yet…

From an Athletic discussion thread on who might replace Ancelotti...

This Simon fella sounds like he should support LEEDS.

He also sounds like the kind of bloke that has a cellar full of women

Outside of a few Albion fans, Potter is one of the hottest managerial prospects in the game highly thought of by pundits, journalists and fans alike. Can't see Moshiri going for him though, he'll want a big name again.

That's six of them then! Nah, he's staying here - his mrs won't let him move again so soon - not good for the kids

That's why Bloom gave him such a long contact.

Tends to know what he's doing does our Tony.

(Yes, Sami was a mistake - just about his only one.)

Loving how Spurs and Everton fans seem to assume that if they go for Potter they’ll get him and Albion have zero say in the matter.
