Some post Brexit Exports that Britain are managing to push through

The only Brexit export boom is from UK businesses rushing to Europe

It has been a gloomy week on the sunlit uplands of sovereign Britain, as the only export that appears to be booming post-Brexit is the glut of UK companies rushing to set up in the EU. The government’s botched trade deal has left firms with two options: Relocation or red tape and regulations that will make many businesses unviable.

I don't think it's just a problem with the BBC. Many TV Journalist just don't seem to research a topic, and therefore have no confidence to challenge anything.

People such Andrew Neil and James O'Brien used to know about a subject and challenge an interviewee. Even Jon Snow used to give it a go.

Johnson can't be seen to meekly agree to EU standards on trade, that would involve having to accept EU legal processes and jurisdiction in the event of disputes.

Doing that undermines the entire " Sovereignty, Taking Back Control, Sunny Uplands " trinity of the Brexit loons.

It's a lovely idea, it will solve a lot of the problems and it's a common sense solution but it won't be acceptable as it won't be Brexit.

I can see Farage forming yet another new political party, probably with Laurence Fox. [emoji1787]
We have already done Brexit. We are out. No MEPs. Mandate fulfilled. Line drawn under it. Done.

Anything else going forward is now on the table.

Ah but getting back in to bed with Europe so quickly after all the issues of withdraw would not sit well with many. Brexit has to be hard, and remain hard otherwise all these global deals will fail to materialise.

Brexit is EU membership, to solve the border and trade issues we need an EEA / custom Union arrangement, this can be quickly agreed a ratified through parliament

Agreed. The only way it works for him is if both sides get to play the "Britain wins!" trumpet and Johnson can stand on his £2.6m plinth and tell us that he has negotiated a "new start" with Europe which makes Britain great again and everyone's getting laid (or similar). If he can't do that, he won't do it. However, if he thinks he can get the political cover for it (or possibly if his successor thinks they can) then it could happen.

Indeed. No need for a messy referendum to get permission to join the EEA - in effect it's a trade deal with compromises and many gains.

It would save the Union but it would a nationalism tantrum on steroids in the little England party

If only someone could have seen this coming

Banks flee the City post-Brexit taking more than £900bn in assets with them

If you thought the Brexit saga was over, think again. New research reveals UK firms are looking to the continent for business and relocations are set to continue. Figures compiled by think tank New Financial make for sobering reading and reveal the extent of just how much Brexit will face the change of the City. More than 440 firms in banking and financial services have relocated part of their business, moved employees or set up new entities in the EU following Brexit.

“The worse news is that this analysis is almost certainly a significant underestimate of the real picture: many firms have slipped below our radar…” William Wright, managing director of New Financial said. “Given the limited equivalence deals in place, over time we expect there to be a drip-feed of business and activity from the UK to the EU.”

We have to make a decision quickly whether to try and abide by EU regulations and get an equivalence and passporting deal or just get rid of regulations and try to do a Singapore, because just letting business haemorrhage from the city to elsewhere in the world whilst continuing to do nothing, would be beyond stupid.

Shirley the people who 'knew what they were voting for' had decided which we should do before voting ???
