You should probably cut back a bit. Half a litre of juice a day adds up to a lot of sugar!

About the only sugar we consume. Any visitors round for coffee have to tear open sachets that we purloin from cafes! Nice way to get the daily Vit.C.

Tell me something that slides down your throat better than this on a hot summers day.

Water is definitely the best. I will, however, put forward Ginger Beer and Lime. Lilt was also rather nice but not seen that for ages. Um Bongo was alright too (they drink it in the Congo)

Pint of Ribena made with ice cold sparkling water, not made too strong, drop in one dissolvable orange vitamin C tablet. Marvellously refreshing.

Tea can do a job.

But I have a soda-stream and always have a bottle of soda-water chilling in the fridge to add with a plethora of concentrate mixers I now have, plus ice.

Ice-cold cream-soda [the full-fat sugar one] is nice but as a type-1 diabetic it makes my sugar levels rocket - good for treating hypos, mind.

Is there any difference between "sparkling water" and "soda water"?

I add CO2 to tap water [using a soda-stream] to create my own soda-water.
Is this the same process to call it "sparkling" water - which is then sold for three-times the price with a fancy "Spa" label and probably in a glass bottle.

Anyone know?
