Newcastle always seem to drag out a result from nowhere.

They'll scrape survival but will need to beat Fulham on the last day.

Fulham to go down.

I hope Newcastle do stay up. Always enjoy the away game there and we don’t lose to them very often. Fulham would probably kick on if they stay up and would probably be a bigger threat. Rate Parker as a manager.

Big shame because if not us ( i don`t think it will ) it will be between two great clubs with great supporters , Fulham and Newcastle . Why can`t it be bloody Buurnleeyy , a crap club managed by a night club bouncer and full of diving cheating dirty players ? . And their communally shared brain cell fans , i believe it`s done by a lottery system run by a 98 year old Blackburn fan who swears it is what keeps her going , she hasn`t stopped laughing since 1958 , ah well whatever floats ya boat .:mad:

Still pretty sure it will be Fulham.

They’re toothless whereas Newcastle have attackers who can win games for them on their own even if the team isn’t playing well.

Newacastle have been shocking all season and yet are still ahead of Fulham. They were also dreadful last season and stayed up. I think they’ll do the same again this season.

Based on last night it has to be Newcastle. With Wilson and ASM out they look the very definition of toothless but I also believe Bruce has "lost the dressing room".

The only nagging doubt is that they look VERY much like us in Chris Hughton's last months in the games against Bournemouth and Cardiff. We survived that - and they may (well) yet sack Bruce.

We won because we were very good. However I think Newcastle deserve to go down. We are not Man City and were just a point above them, Just amazing to spend a week with your team and set up like that.

I still think Fulham. They just don't convince me that they can win games.

Newcastle look awful but Wilson and Saint Maximin coming back will get them some points and keep them just ahead of Fulham.
Draw at Craven Cottage on the last day, when the Newcastle defence wake up and realise they are going to get relegated if they don't turn up.

After the Palace debacle it felt very much like it could be us.

Part of the reason Newcastle looked so awful was (shhhhh!) we are quite good. We slow the game down. Play considered football. I watched Leeds against Fulham the other day and it was all harumscarum and icky thump; 22 men rushing about as if the bell for the end of break time was about to chime any second. Not the way to go about it.

So I suspect Newcastle are 'better than that' and it is still too early to call it.

The final 20 minutes against Newcastle may go down as the worst ever at the Amex. 3:0 and not wishing to suffer any injuries we just passed the ball across the back. Newcastle were beaten and had no fight left in them. You could hear the Ole! as the 20th pass went from Dunk to White and back again.
Bruce may be a good manager and certainly his team talk during the 'injury' spurred on the team for a few minutes, but they are gone.

As others have said, Toon are capable of pulling a rabbit out of a hat, I still think it will be Fulham on the last day of the season. Would love it to be Saints.

Our game in hand is Sheff United with Fulham not playing that week.

Genuinely think it could go down to the last game of the season, which will be interesting as crowds are expected back so expect the Geordies to blame that as a factor as I think Fulham will beat them on the day

Even more interesting will be how many London Geordies sneak in to Craven Cottage for that last game.
SJP holds 52,305 but limited to 10,000 for Sheff Utd.
