This is the type of performance that created the negativity about Potter. He's earned our support but ffs learn from what works and what CLEARLY doesn't. We've gone backwards for no reason at all. It's tippy tappy bullshit.

Wondering if we thrive where opponents attack eg Liverpool.

Yet grind to a halt against teams with 10 or 11 men behind the ball. Classic Hodgson, let another team pass, then play long out balls down the flanks.

Is this our worst half this season? The players look disinterested. Can’t shoot on target. Stupid over elaborating passes. Really need a rocket up their backsides at half time.

Wolves was dreadful

Well because the better teams play to win. They don’t play every many behind the ball. It’s a completely different type of game.

No.
A team will set up differently. Agreed.
BUT, we can still press.
We can still get the ball forward more quickly.
We can still do everything with more energy.

Kane would have had a penalty there.

Rocket?! From Potter?!! Probably give them a sparkler and a toffee apple. We’re still “learning” remember

You have to ask why we play high temp, high press, direct football against the better teams and then play this weird, ponderous tippy-tappy guff against the dross.

Surely part of the problem is that better opposition attack us more which leaves space, the poorer teams sit deep and defend and we simply cannot penetrate.

Apart of this is that our shape comes undone against teams who park the bus, because we have to pass and move to try and open teams up. Unfortunately, we have a team with the creativity and goal scoring threat of a dead dog.

The top teams often find it very difficult against this kind of deep block. The difference is moments of quality that we just don't create enough of or take when they come

Watching the replay of the goal just leaves me screaming at Burn again. Same as the Leicester, Arsenal and Wolves goals - that was amateurish defending.
.

You don’t understand football then, apparently

I am sorry but not against the run of play in my view no shots on target from us just because we play tippy tappy sideways football does not make us the better side
Run of play equates to possession. I did not suggest we were the better side or peppering their goal.

I’ve never seen Bissouma play with such little energy. WTF is going on with him?

One of our worst halves this season.

BUT it’s still a joke we’re losing. Should be all square. Big half coming up. I suspect GP will make changes earlier today as there’s a few poor performances out there.
