Infection numbers down again yesterday. Also worth looking at the drop in the rolling 7 day number - it’s starting to look like a significant trend.

Fewer vaccs yesterday (still well over 200k though) but expecting the numbers to jump again tomorrow and thereafter

Looks encouraging from Israel ...hoping this pans out

Data from 102 Israeli health workers who had both Pfizer doses shows 98% of them developed significant presence of antibodies; survey's editor says participants most likely won't spread the disease further.

Fantastic news, I like the part that says their antibodies were HIGHER than those who had recovered from the virus. Science is remarkable.

Targets for Scotland:

You'd have to think our plan will be similar.

Due to go to Cyprus for friends wedding end of May. Worried there will be some testing at airport / have to be vaccinated to go and loads of us going... :(

Unlikely at the moment you will get a vaccination by then, but I'd be surprised if they impose that because there is no evidence (yet) that even after vaccination you can't pass the virus on.

Vaccine works inside your body, not outside of it.

I'd imagine travel will be eased on a number of factors, but mostly how much virus is around at the time (in this country) and to what level the country you are going to is vaccinated.

No sensible country is going to allow a number of foreigners in until they've vaccinated their own.

Everyone to Israel then

My 30 year old son who suffers with sarcoidosis was jabbed at 9.10 this morning in Caberwell... I must admit I feel a bit emotional.

Wonderful. Very happy for you.

Love hearing all these vaccination stories. One by one we're all getting protected.

it took a few days but really getting a grip with process and delivering the vaccine much quicker to staff/care home workers at Princess Royal now :)

I enjoy looking at the Q and people leaving once done very much

loz, I feel your pain with sarcoidosis, it is not a well known disease, and research funding is minimal, so it is very little understood, and treatment regimes are pretty rudimentary and not progressing fast either. My MIssus has suffered with it for nearly 8 years now, but has been fortunate to receive first line care regularly at Royal Papworth Hospital throughout. She has been on prednisolone and methotrexate (chemo by tablet) for 7 years. She is retired early now, but was a very senior specialist nurse. If you think we can share some learning and ideas/knowledge that you think might help you and your young lad, please send me a PM. All the best. Wedgee.

My dear old mum has just been contacted and is getting her vaccination on weds am. BIG relief as she lives 80 miles away from us on her own & both myself and my dear wife are both in the vulnerable category so have been unable to pop across. Be great to finally get a chance to see her and give her a big hug after all this time - after we get ours!
