Sounds like there's some fire with the smoke.

GP has given an update on Maty Ryan’s future.

Handshake “I have to be respectful to his career, his family & his situation.

“The situation may be he wants to be in a better position, where he’s more involved in playing.

“Out of respect, you’ve got to give him that freedom.”

‘more involved in playing’? oh yeah, he hasn’t had many games since he’s been with us has he!

Maybe Maty isn’t as professional as we all think?

In his position I probably wouldn’t take it too well either, dropped for a player who’s played one senior game, but you’d think he’d be self aware enough to know he’s not been at his best this season.

Yup he’s a goner. Possibly why Sanchez was given a game earlier in the season to test the waters? Would be terrific to have Sanchez and Walton fighting it out for the Number 1 shirt.

It certainly suggests that something has gone on behind the scenes. He's only been dropped for two games and whilst his form has been debated on here at length surely he would normally just knuckle down and fight for his place.

Maybe he thinks he is the number one and can’t take being replaced by a kid. A couple of months ago I doubt more than 1% of NSC didn’t accept that Ryan wasn’t the nailed on number one. If he had recognised that he had competition he may have a different attitude. Complete guesswork btw,

Perhaps Albion have another top keeper lined up to sign on 2nd jan, or maybe Potter was talking in riddles as he often deliberately does.

One coming in seems increasingly more likely.
I'm struggling to believe this was part of the plan when Sanchez didn't go on loan to a championship club.

For all our sakes we can only hope he has the next 3 games and a lovely little Christmas.
If he doesn't the Albion are in a whole world.of shite.

Why? Why can't Sanchez be a no.1, with Steel and Walton as back up?
As said in the post you replied too, I can't see first team starter was the plan for Sanchez' 12 games ago.

Clubs don't knock up multi million pound transfers, in a couple of weeks making me think one coming in is now more likely.

They don't keep promising young keepers sitting around kicking their heels either. I'm sure they could have got him a loan if they'd wanted to. Anyway, if Sanchez can save us £20M .....................

I believe you are now quoting me re 'saving £20m'.

They are currently keeping promising young defenders, midfielders and attackers sitting around kicking their heels, why should keepers be different in these unique days?

So we agree that it would be good if Sanchez can save Uncle Tony £20M. Good.

And I agree that there are several we should be looking for loans for in January.

Most of whom should have gone in the Summer, including Sanchez, which would have changed everything.

Of course Sanchez could grab this opportunity and never look back.

Didn't someone say maybe on this thread that Ryan was looking to go back to Aus anyway

Noooooo........everyone thinks it’s because he’s shit [emoji2369][emoji2369]

Seriously, if he wants to go home, or closer to home, good luck to him. Been a fantastic servant. He’s not shit, by the way, he’s a decent PL keeper IMO.
