Yea, relatively newly appointed manager rebuilding the team with young and talented players but not yet getting the results... typical Arsenal fans to ask for his head, wouldnt happen elsewhere.

No mistake, we have a few wallies too. But a minority, and nothing compared to the toxic Arsenal fan base.

They bullied and hounded out one of their greatest ever managers.

Villa will be a tough nut to crack they look very good going forward
It’s almost like signing better players in a transfer window improves a squad. A team that survived by a technology fail are suddenly miles ahead of us after assessing the squad and signings coming in for key positions. Not to worry though we didn’t sell White to Leeds

That was an impressive win by villa tonight - and shows how tough the game at Villa Park will be in a couple of weeks.

But Potter was happy with the squad and said he would improve the team. We are currently still awaiting the improvement but he is learning

I don’t think I can remember such a season with odd results, the top 6 are average, no one can defend, no home advantage, keepers seem error prone - then add VAR to it.

Why didn’t our recruitment team get him.

It seemed such an obvious move.

Because we never stood a chance against Villa.

We were interested but they were prepared to pay a much higher transfer fee and wages than we are able to and he also wanted to play for Smith again. They had a very good relationshiop at Brentford.

Nothing we could do about that one.

Yes but he has to say that doesn’t he. He’s hardly going to come out slagging the clubs recruitment department.

Watkins is an annoying one as it just seemed a natural move to bring him in with his old mate Maupay.

Oh well, we have Welbeck I guess.

Talking of penalties, over in La Liga Real Madrid are 4-1 down to Valencia.

Every Valencia goal has been a penalty.

I don’t know if you have insider knowledge, or if you’re just guessing.

We have no problem paying the wages for Dunk, White and so on. This is a problem then. If we’ve been in elite league for 4 years and not willing to pay competitive wages.

No way the club were going to spend in excess of 20m. Could cost them come the end of the season we will just have to wait and see

Money side of things - Andy Naylor and Brian Owen;

Playing for Smith again - straight from the horses mouth - Watkins.

We weren’t in the running.

Before villa kicked off today, Watkins had the same amount of PL goals this season as Maupay. Embarrassing post, especially 8 games in.
