Transfers are ammortised over the length of hte contract.
So if Ali J was £16M over 4 years, we reported that as £4M/year.
So our accounts for this period will still include all the transfers we made over the last couple of years. So yes absolutely we will still lose a lot of money, because we haven't sold anyone. Coupled with loss of Sky money, loss of matchday incoming (£25M+ a year?)
