[Albion] The referee needs to be investigated and we should not drop it

March scored with 34 seconds of added 5 mins remaining (after 4:26) only thing that happened during that 5 mins that wasn't normal play was Man U putting V D Beek on. Yes we celebrated for a minute, but their corner was over 2 mins after restart (when 34 seconds were left as March scored) the Maguire header was well over 2 mins after restart....then final whistle and finally Fernandez scores 90+11.

From a Manchester ref, it's either corruption or gross incompetence.

Thing that wound me up most is that the ball went out for a throw before the corner. Ball out of play, already played more than allowed, it was absolutely perfect to blow for FT. Open play, you’re concentrating on what is happening, I can almost understand that, but when that ball went for the throw, he would have checked his watch and made a concious decision to play on. That is where you can say he’s made a massive mistake or intentionally given United extra.

I imagine some time would've been added on seeing as March scored in stoppage time.

He scored on 94'35. So 25 seconds extra should have been added, not 2 mins. United were allowed to take the corner when the game was over. Shocking.

I know people are disappointed but no one really thinks there will be a successful appeal, do they? PL did nothing when a goal wasn't given against Villa which relegated Bournemouth. Much bigger call that.

I know. It does seem a bit odd that we play Manchester United with a ref born in Manchester wtf?!

Who’s reffing our game against City? Noel ****ing Gallagher?

I hope so, he won't be as biased.

Well, I’d been out, and raced indoors to get the result. The BBC site said FT 2-2. Now I see we’ve lost 2-3.

Time the BBC was shaken up!

And all those efforts that hit the woodwork......were the goals the right size, or were they Europa Cup Specials?

Referee HAD signalled the end of the game in this instance. I don’t know the fine details, but he had to restart a game that had officially ended in order to allow the pen to be taken. I don’t know if that has ever happened.

Sure, massive mistakes have happens DURING games. I’ve not heard of a result changing after the final whistle before.

Yes. Even if he doesn’t support Utd he could support City or a Merseyside team, which makes it unfair for them given the hatred etc...

Which then means he doesn’t want to ‘look’ biased, which means we still suffer.

Even if he supports Wigan or Altrincham, it’s still too close and raises questions.

As for Hooper call me Hoops, he’s just a fat fat fecker, who needs to feck off.....

I have a friend who is a Villa fan (I know!) who said we were robbed, but maybe he’s being kind.
So, I’m looking on Twitter. Lots of neutrals saying the same thing, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool etc

Agree expected ref to blow for full time before corner was taken but bhe question must be why we couldn't manage to see out the game, regardless of how much extra time was played. Also what on earth was Maupay thinking and yes it did flick off his hand.

Not sure they're exactly neutral - they all hate Man U!!

Today was so frustrating and after we scored the 2nd I was saying concentrate !!! As I knew there would be a bit of time to play.

I can’t disagree it was a penalty but it being allowed in Fergie time was what annoyed me. Then to add to this the referee blew the final whistle, I would say that means the game has finished and they cannot retrospectively look at any decisions (yes it’s a loophole) . What would have been interesting is if we had walked off the pitch after the final whistle and said we assumed that was the end of the game. I don’t think we could have been reprimanded as the whistle had gone. Would have been petty but would have been interesting to see!

Billy Sharpe's injury in the Doncaster game would have caused a long delay in play . Can't recall if it was first or 2nd half though .

Yes. I’m not quite sure why people are mentioning that game as a comparison.

There was lots of injury time in the Donnie game because there’s needed to be, not because the ref just decided to play on after the finish - which was the case today.

Let’s not forget a player DIED during that game, FFS. They needed to bring on a priest for the last rites, undertakers and a coffin to carry him off, a minute’s silence before the restart... It was a completely different set of circumstances that led to the 8 added-on minutes that time.

Nobody has picked up on the fact that of Solly March doesn't score & blazes wide and/or De Gea saves etc.....the ref probably blows up for full-time from the resulting goal kick or punt up field.

It's almost a given in that situation 99% of the time & yet he played on & on & on. I'm absolutely fuming.
