Gianluca.com’s website says:

No Parma for Andi Zeqiri.

In fact, the Swiss forward born in '99 from Lausanne will not arrive in Serie A at Liverani's court.

The operation is skipped and now the player is approaching Brighton and a new adventure in the Premier League.

Will there be any pictures of him 'in the crowd' at the Man Utd game today ?

I’d say month 1 he will be assessed/adapting to England in u23 and then onto bench

I think the bleeding obvious thing about this bit of recruitment is that the search for an affordable 3rd choice striker continues apace and Zeqiri clearly isn't it. And the ongoing programme investing heavily to accumulate hasn't been put on pause. Funds are clearly there. He's not cheap if reports are to be believed
but yes. he's not experienced enough is he - Potter likes youth players - but Albion carefully develop them first at higher levels and then he's refreshingly open about giving them a chance.
Molumby might start today but he's spent a year at Millwall in the Championship - considerably a tougher league than Swiss Division 2.
Connolly spent 2 seasons firing them in in the Premier League 2. Mac Allister was picked by Argentina . Alzate and White worked themselves through the divisions. Gyokeres is more experienced than Zeqiri and again if reports this week are true - he's off too to the Championship probably. .
But we shall see. Perhaps that affordable striker just isn't out there...

I'll hazard a guess he's an U23 punt so the current U23 punt can go to Swansea, in the hope he returns slightly less of a punt.

If we’re genuinely sending a private plane and it’s not the last day of the window, this fellas straight into the first team squad

Not a chance.

Balls.

:lolol: Yes exactly! We've been linked with striking talent like Edouard, Brewster, Origi etc and now we're getting a 21yr old still wet behind the ears from an inferior league for a few shillings.

Plus if you notice iwhat Owensaid in his story about Zeqiri, "he's within our budget" - Says it all really.

However I'm not going to totally write him off before seeing him play (although I know that is the NSC way)

Weird to have inconsistencies between the Argus and Naylor but there we are...

Naylor does not work at the Argus anymore and journalists do have difference of opinions.

If Naylor is right then it can only mean one thing:-

Another striker is still incoming.

Everyone is a winner

Once this is officially confirmed I think this could well be it for this window - and anything else a welcome surprise.

If we regard Maupay and Connolly as our first two striking options, then Ali J is our 3rd. This is based on Potter's own words that he considered Ali J for the Newcastle match, but eventually went with Connolly. By my reckoning, that makes us looking for an affordable 4th choice striker.

Simon Rusk will be pretty pleased with this addition. Another one for the development pipeline for a year or two.

If the club do sign him how long will it be before he can play a competitve game for the club bearing in mind quarantine, training time etc?
