He's had his profile pic updated on the club website. If he does play for us again I think he could be really effective in our current system..

Welcome back you crazy but brilliant player [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Now we know just how hard Dale is, and as we have lost Shane, we need someone who would not take a backward step and kill if required.

I think too much is made on whether players like one another. In our own workplaces we have teams made up of colleagues, some we like, some meh, some detestable. But, unless for some very good reasons (i.e very disruptive to group) we all have to work with each other. Very few colleagues have I counted as good mates.

The only person Andone has to impress is Potter. Come back, good work ethic and he will get his chance. Scores goals and generally everyone is happy.

He has some talent but he also has a screw loose can he be rehabilitated that I think will remain subject to a number of things as yet unknown.

Well, he knows what will happen if he gets another violent conduct red card doesn’t he!

Agree about the 2nd chance and that he is Premier League quality.

His race is run with us. If he's not going to be fit till February he's not match fit till March why would we name him in the 25 at the end of January?

He's along way from his race being ran with us. He's still got 3 years on his contract, even if he's not going to be fit until the tail end of the season (I am sure it was the aim for him to be back around Christmas recently) it would still be better to name him in the squad just in case he's needed than be desperate for a striker and have a fit and ready Andone on our books but unable to play as he isn't in the 25.

Currently we can name a 23 man squad including 4 goalkeepers, and the injured Jose and Andone. We've still got a couple of spaces we could fill before we start worrying about de-listing any players due to injury. It could become 3 spaces if Walton's injury isn't too bad and one of him or Sanchez goes out on loan.

It seems this thread is proof that Leopards do indeed change their spots :lolol:

Latest news was could be Xmas / New Year. Could be exactly when we need a 3rd or 4th choice striker to step up. It's within our interest, and his for that matter for all parties to kiss and make up. No one is going to gain anything from not doing so. If he was fit, he could just be shipped out, but he's not and we're short of striking options. No brainer to work hard to rebuild those bridges.

What did he do that was unforgiveable?
Saying he didn't want to come back?

or the red cards against Saints and West Brom?

Or is there something darker?

I was referring to the fact that he is a psycho and apparently not very popular with his team mates. I don’t see that changing. He’s only back here because he is long term injured.

I don’t think Potter would have shipped him out so quickly if he thought he could work with him. Sounds like he may have been asked to try again though.

All guesswork of course

I agree he doesn't seem the stablest of characters in the squad.
I'd hazard a guess that most of the perception of what he's like, comes from some incandescent posts on here, after the Saints game and following his comments in the Athletic.

He won't be allowed anywhere near the squad if he is disruptive or dangerous.
Assuming that's not the case, I'd welcome him back as the "proven at this level" striker many people are clamouring for.

Not sure where February/March came from.

Potter said he was back with the club to recover his fitness, but is not expected to be available to play until at least January.

The reason we would name him at the end of January is that there will still be a minimum of 17 league games to play between February - May.

As you say it does depend when he is fit. I'd seen Feb somewhere and if it is Feb then I don't think they would name him unless they had a place spare. I'm agnostic as to whether we should bring him back as I don't know the guy or what really happened...

And, with recent departures of Duffy, Stephens, Murray, The Greyhound and Kayal, I think our '7' is looking a bit lightweight, with Webster, White, Lamptey, Alzate, March, Tross, Propper and McArgie ?

Don't get me wrong, all very good footballers, but up for starting fights in the tunnel ?

I agree, we don't know what has gone on. He may have been fed up under Chris, the move to Turkey engineered before GP was even appointed. GP is appointed and says 'I don't want anyone going until I have a look at them'. Then Maupay starts getting the nod, gets himself sent off and GP maybe even reluctantly sanctions the loan move.

There's probably no smoke without fire, but you have to be a bit grown up about these things, no point cutting your nose off to spite your face. No issue with him getting a 2nd chance IF GP decides to do so.

p.s. thought his red against Southampton got a massive overreaction, in real time, and it was in front of me, I didn't even think it was a foul!

May of had it updated, maybe club do hope to use him. But the updated pic is a FAKE!

I thought that looked exactly the same pose as his official one last year in the stripes, that is now removed from club and cant find anymore on google photos?

Looking at the outline of his head, it looks like a classic photo shopped head - so on who's body?

Easiest place to start is the collar, as Andones is in this pic buttoned up and almost perfect symmetrically - lots of players have it open or messy..... that narrowed it down, the start looking very closely at how every crease falls on the Andone shirt pic and case is closed - though Albion did very well to disguise it, as the body is from a thumbnail, (who Andone is photo shopped onto), when clicking on profile you dont see this pic expanded , just another. I expanded as much as possible before pixelation.

Look carefully at three creases on left to left of Nike badge (as you look), the left pinstripe and the way it kinks, the crease shapes on shoulders and above club badge, the creases on players right arm (viewers left), even the vein on players right arm (to viewers left), the way the A and M sits in American. the crease that run down from the A and darker creases from X P of Express

Case closed media team fakers.

Welcome Florin Molumby

I must admit I was quite surprised he was allowed to leave, despite the red card, given the fact that we were then two strikers down with Locadia also leaving. Locadia I could understand: he came on against Southampton after Andone was sent off, and just pratted around doing nothing, when it could have been his big chance to shine. We didn't miss him at all after he left.

I would have thought Potter with his HR experience would have been able to discipline Andone, tell him to take his three-match ban and two weeks' wages fine and then come back. I can only assume he must have agitated for the move. Something was obviously wrong; surely the angry mood he was in during the Southampton game can't have just come from the Bernardo incident. We certainly missed his goalscoring ability, even if he wasn't prolific, during the long winless period before the games after the return from lockdown.
