Fair comment, but it is not just that, it’s part of it. Mullery always said that he liked Brian Horton as he was effectively the manager on the pitch.

I don’t see Ryan or Webster leading from that perspective, in fact I think Ryan is quite quiet for a GK.

Also, it's 2020 now, not 1979.

He went to Burnley on Monday. Whether that was for talks , a medical or to actually sign I don’t know.

I’ll be surprised if he doesnt sign

Could have been after parts for 1978 Ford Capri car SOS-style rebuild project.

So we thought we had some (rather dull / boring) inside info, but it turns out it all came to light after a daily mirror article appeared as it so happens. And Potter hasn’t heard anything yet NSC posters have? Seems there was some guesswork going on...

It’s clear he’ll prob go, but the ‘itk’ posts about it being done / him travelling up there etc are / were wrong! Same old NSC / Chinese whispers!

Sheebo, I know the op and where the info is from.

It is happening mate, end of.

Two year deal* . Still quibbling about sourcing parts for his 73 Lambo, and schools 'that have to be at least 5 miles from Bumley itself, but an easy drive for her in doors'.

*on the kitchen table (formica, nice though).

He has signed a 3 year deal apparently.

Family issues holding things up.

So he has played his last game for us and won’t be in the squad later today.

Good luck to him, I’d rather it was announced quickly though than have all this limbo & rumour stuff.

So sad that we haven’t had the chance, as fans, to say thanks and goodbye to the players that have left this season. Nothing we can do about it but such a shame.

Thanks Dale, you have been a rock for this club and have always given your all, even when things weren’t going well. Great memories of you over the years and a big part of our rise through the divisions. Enjoy yourself at Burnley

Well said.

The way things are going, he’ll be retired by the time we return [emoji20][emoji22]

Brighton factually.....
Especially when they come from Bolton.

Having gone to Bolton for my very first gig in 1984 and how extremely violent it was, i'm talking broken arms, police cars and ambulances taking people away, and having been to Burnley on several occasions.
I can see why Bolton has a certain charm over Burnley.
