Said it before, shall say it again- Dunk will only ever play in the middle of the three. Webster is two footed enough to play on the left and has done it throughout his career.

What we learned? We are one/two strikers away from a very decent squad.

I understood Veltman best position is CB then full back. Did he play in wing back position today

Worth saying though, the injury came whilst making a terrific claim from a cross. I know what you mean though he had a very poor moment with the ball at his feet earlier

Indeed, he may have some strengths as a more ‘traditional’ GK better suited to teams that don’t rely on their GK’s footwork as much.

Under Potter however we have developed into a team that requires a more ‘modern’ GK style.

It’s more a matter of incompatibility than one of quality.

You learned that just from today's performance did you? let's give it half a dozen competitive games before we make an informed decision Friendlies are always pretty meaningless in terms of results, and even performances to some extent. Far more about gaining fitness levels, and trying out new ideas.

Only caught the final half an hour, but thought Molumby looked very good, Sanders looked good, Duffy looked like he didn´t really want to be there, and Bernardo isn´t the answer

And Sanchez is MASSIVE

Veltman looks an instant and significant upgrade on Montoya
That kid on loan from Leeds looks very assured
Bissouma and Alzate together in midfield, with Lallana (not match fit unsurprisingly but enough glimpses of class to be positive) ‘directing’, will be awesome once settled
Lamptey has a jet-pack I think.....**** me he’s rapid
Maupay shouldn’t be allowed near a penalty
March had a damn good game, but a few infuriating moments as always when he stops and turns backwards when in space instead of going forward

What are you questioning here? That we need a striker or that Dunk is a central defender?

Not true. Played majority of time at RB for Ajax.

Dutch media has said he can play both roles but his best would be in the right of a back three. He's basically push BW and Lamptey may well pinch it off one of them.

To be honest I'd like to see Biss and Molumby.
