[Albion] How could we get Odsonne Édouard?

Hove (actually)
'do, not 'does' .

Either is acceptable, although “do” is prevalent in modern English whereas “does” is arguably more grammatically correct; Chelsea being a body corporate / collective noun....
Most European languages would favour, if not demand, the use of “does”....

So the Argus are reporting we are intrested and the Birmingham news are reporting Villa are intrested with £40 million being the asking price! At age 22 6ft 2 tall and haveing played for the French national team at all levels except for the senior level which one would think is only a matter of time, 28 goals last season looks like one for the future to me

Having watched a highlight video of Édouard's goals for Celtic in 19/20 I feel like Duffy would be head and shoulders above other defenders in the SPL. Shoking defending on most occasions (not to take anything away from the striker). Duffy himself has also been on the other side of the things many times though (although he has been solid in the PL).

These cash plus player deals hardly ever happen, and why would Duffy not want a few more seasons in the PL? Makes no sense.

So we sell them Duffy and just hand the cash straight back for Edouard.
In terms of PL or scotland. Celtic gives chance of champions league football and may suit him better

Makes complete sense to me..

If you’re Duffy. You know you won’t play much under Potter.
Would you rather play for West Brom or Celtic + Champions League football?

He can always return to the Prem in a years time.

Completely agree.

Duffy would be an immense CB for Celtic in that league. He’s still an incredible defender as we know from last season. Just the wrong type for GP.

Duffy would absolutely destroy the Scottish League. He'd eat it for breakfast and shit it out before lunch. If we have to lose him then I'm all for him going to Celtic. He supports them, he'd win plenty of silverware, play in the Champions League and keep his place in the Ireland team. He'd probably score a dozen goals a season too. And if it all helps smooth the way for us signing a cracking striker I'm even more all for it.

Plus they gave us Kayal dirt cheap so it'd be nice to give them a quality player in return.

This rumour does get me excited. When you watch him play and the usual Youtube compilation videos, the thing that really stand out and makes me think he could hack it in the Premier League rather than just being a MTL flat track bully, is his movement. He is really clever at making sudden movements and finding little pockets of space.

Fingers crossed. The other striker I like is Watkins but I wouldn't at all surprised if he ends up at Villa shortly owing to his previous connection with Smith but to be honest, I would probably rather Edouard just about anyway.

Celtic fan I work with (not a source or ITK) believes that Celtic are looking for close to £60m and that he is happy to stay at Celtic because of the platform that Champions League gives him. Makes sense. Another good season at Celtic and a bit of an eye catching CL and he could well go for that.

The transfer wheels could be in motion on this one, Celtic are lining up a move for Ivan Toney from Peterborough, who could be Edouard's replacement.

I would imagine he would earn more in the PL, it’s more of a fan thing saying we could give them player x as part of the deal rarely happens is all I’m saying.
