I wonder if the Greyhound and Montoya have done enough to keep this lad out of the squad vs Watford?
.

Playing adult football is probably more than enough.

I see new boy roasted the Albion kidz, a few times.
Are you suggesting the quality difference between our current first team and the under 23's isn't that great?

The more vids I watch of him, the more it becomes obvious that he is an absolute assist machine.

Whilst he’ll probably be our fastest asset (which helps when you bomb forward all the time), I think he could also get a goal or two a mine some penalties for us too as he normally arrives in the box with such pace.

Very amusing watch that. It seems Chelsea youth could not score in the proverbial brothel. No wonder Frankie was trying to get a striker in.

Watching that and also casting my mind back to the show reels of Maupays goals before we signed him, makes me feel that these 2 players are a match made in heaven.

Lamptey's pace and accurate low crosses combined with Maupay's instinctive finishing in the box could be sensational.

You don’t think pulling a player off from a planned level of development into a relegation battle, arguably because of the quality of form isn’t applying a degree of pressure?

I do, think we’ll have to differ on this [emoji2]

I don’t mind either way, I trust GP.

But should see Lamptey and MacAllister play well in a win or two, that’d be immense.

Potter dampening expectations somewhat in Naylor's latest Athletic piece:

. “He’s a young guy that’s had a nice foundation and education at Chelsea. He’s looking to change the scenery and to help us. His age, the stage of his career; he’s not the solution in the immediate sense.

“We’ve got good competition in that area anyway but it was an opportunity to bring somebody in that’s got qualities that can maybe help us in the longer term. At the same time, he will improve the training and provide a freshness in the group.”

That's just taking some of the pressure off the kid, but you know that Potter has no qualms playing young uns, and this one is a gem.

We'll see, I'm sure he'll play for us this season. What's Potter going to say, 'I can't wait to bin off Montoya and the ageing Greyhound' - no, you have to keep everyone happy in that job.

100% Agree. Seen enough to know how good he can be.

If he can sustain this level for performance, a matter of time until he’s called by England.

I remember watching him against arsenal at Christmas and thinking. Bloody hell hes good. Genuinely surprised he came to us and he’s grabbed his chance with both hands.

I wonder if he was kind of promised a starting slot (if he hit the ground running) with us, where other interested parties didn’t?

Looks to be a great coup by the Albion.

On the basis of what we've seen so far, he looks a very, very astute signing.

Very good so far. Sure, most of their chances have come through his side but its because they are basically playing 2 or 3 vs him all the time and mostly he solves it. In attack he is great, both with and without the ball: times his runs perfectly and the crosses are generally great (and those that arent, still decent).

This boy - if he can avoid injuries which is always the question mark when it comes to disgustingly quick players - is going to turn really, really good. You can see on his body language and facial expressions that he is a superpro as well, he will keep his feet on the ground with a little help of the GPott.

What a player.

Almost overnight, he’s been the answer to our RB problems, plus he’s great going forward.

Hard to see MM or Schelotto starting PL matches again.

Now we just need a left back of the same ilk. I still believe Bernardo could be the answer!
