In my opinion that was a huge result for us today. Could even be a season changing set of results:

1. Came back from two goals for a point, showed real character, something we were accused of lacking
2. Will give the players huge confidence, ahead of some home games we can get points from.
3. Murray starts and scores - Maupay rested for 90 minutes.
4. Will be a huge blow to West Ham’s morale - and they have some very tough games coming up.
5. Watford throw away a two goal lead to lose in injury time - a huge blow to their confidence ahead of playing us.
6. Three goals and a host of chances created. Yes we are weak at the back but as long as we are creating we have chance in games, the goals will come
7. At one point we were in relegation zone but ended up staying 15th and even closing gap on Palace and Burnley to four points.
8. Still only one behind tracker with best goal difference in bottom 6/7
9. Potters subs were bonkers but changed the game.

All in all I’m definitely glass half full tonight. I really wasn’t at half time!

With hindsight, March for Mooy wasn’t that bonkers. It injected the midfield with some pace and dynamism. I wasn’t saying this when he came on though.

I’m now of the opinion we can’t play Stephens, Mooy and Gross in the same midfield; they’re all slow and all three together is too much.

I am wondering if Pearson's impact at watford is ultimately short-lived.. don't know why particularly, but there was a lot of talk about increased discipline etc when he came in.. thats Ok when you win, but when you don't it can wear on players pretty quickly..

After watching them defending corners on MotD tonight, I'm slapping a wedge on Dunk and/or Webster scoring next week

Easily solved, MacAllister in for Stephens. 👍

I haven’t read the thread, but I do know something happened at half time that you would very rarely witness. Dunky got up on his feet while GP was speaking, asked GP to sit down and let him say something, GP sat down, and Dunky went absolutely ballistic at his teammates, telling them and telling himself that the first half let the club down, let the fans down and most of all let the manager down, and pointing to the black arm bands reminded people that GP didn’t need to be there suffering his grief, but he was, and demanding they all give much much more to repay GPs commitment. As you know, they came out very early, they came out firing, and immediately post match there was a very emotional looking embrace between GP and LD, for a job that really seriously needed doing, as GP looked on drained. And several BHA players dropped to their knees on the turf on the whistle, knowing that they really had dug deep to repay the boss, and respond to their skippers extraordinary half time plea. All very good stuff, this sort of stuff needs to happen.

I think Alzate is your man to partner Pröpper if you want to sacrifice a little organisational steel for some progressive passing and quick footed dynamism:

I think Mac Allister could sit in the middle behind the number 9.

Watched the game in tv in my hotel. Commentators (including Andrews as usual) were very positive about us in the second half, and the quality of our football overall. Stats for the game look positive too.

Could be a huge confidence boost this.........can’t recall us coming back from a 2 goal deficit very often, and we were absolutely all over West Ham for the last 20 mins or so. Maybe got a bit lucky with our goals but we’ve arguably deserved a bit of the rub of the green.

Anyway, off to have some humble pie for brekky. I thought the March/Galgo double sub was mad - but it changed the game. Andrews suggested that Potter had seen a weakness on the right side so chucked them both on to exploit that.

March looked class today.

Is that enough steel in CM /too many weaker technicians when we haven’t got the ball?

March did look very very good. Positive, good tight ball control, caused a lot of problems from open play and dead ball. Trossard I thought looked off the pace today, as did Mooy.

Who are these experts?

So you are going on record to state he had never made a major mistake?

You mean like when we were attacking, edge of the penalty area, he got in the way and the ball hit him and he let play continue allowing them to break? He most definitely is not even close to being the best ref in the PL.

And several BHA players dropped to their knees on the turf on the whistle, knowing that they really had dug deep to repay the boss, and respond to their skippers extraordinary half time plea. All very good stuff, this sort of stuff needs to happen.

Cheers for posting that. That's good to hear.

The so called 'experts' unlike us supporters ie the tv pundits, newspaper match reporters and even ex refs. So much so that he gets a large number of big games

So people on the tv and in the press are experts? [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I’m pretty sure most football fans given the platform and opportunity could do a better job.

Do you believe everything you see on the news as well?
