[Albion] Will we be signing a DECENT striker on loan or permanent before the window closes?

Will we be signing a decent new striker by the time the window closes?

Sounds like Jerrod Bowen going to Palace. Surely we would have been trying to get him in. Really don't see as signing anyone unless maybe we have to move Murray before we sign someone..

Potter on tomorrow: "The last thing I will be doing is watching the TV on deadline day.
"My phone will be on silent during training and in the afternoon you never know." #BHAFC. From Andy Naylor on twitter. Fingers crossed. At least he hasn't ruled the possibility out

Hasn’t ruled out it being on vibrate, interesting he’s taken the stance to omit this salient communication prompt.

Might email Barber and ask whether he has ever interrupted training before

All good and reasonable points.

Permission to potentially crap my pants if we don’t sign a striker before the window closes though?

Or put it another way, will your confidence take a knock if we don’t, or is your faith unshakeable?

I think we have enough to stay up without signing another striker, as long as we keep hold of Murray. He's a better back up than anybody else who will be willing to play back up. If we have the same second half of a season that we had the first, we will stay up.

I'm not expecting us to sign a striker, and I'll still have faith if we don't, but I will crap myself if/when Maupay gets injured.

Spot on. In another season we beat Villa and Bournemouth and we'd be above Arsenal in 10th. The margins are so fine in the bottom half this year.

I keep hearing things like "If we don't win our next two we are down" which is absolute nonsense. We are down if we are in the bottom three on 17th May, or if we mathematically can't climb out of the bottom three at any time before then. I find it so odd the way football fans just forget every year how much the table moves around in the last few months, and how many twists and turns there will still be to come.

People have strong memories of last season's free fall. The similarities in our January transfer activity and our mental brittleness on the pitch are striking.

The nerves don't surprise me

We’re going to be moving on to Geoff Horsefield at this rate .

He’ll probably say no too

Where I am.

I differ to you on a number of points recently form wise, but still think we’ll survive regardless of Saturday.

Doesn’t mean I won’t moan my backside off if we are poor..... [emoji2]

So we'll be finishing the season with 2 strikers.
2 new kidz.
&
Starting next year away to Rotherham.

At least Argie McJocko will get his wish to play more for Boca.

There needs to be a little more trust that Great Glenn can manage 14 matches.

Once Glenn was staying, a new striker was always unlikely.

Having said that, I'd recall Mlakar from his QPR nightmare and give him some intense inhouse Potterball training.

what a bunch of clowns- TB really needs to make a club statement on our transfer activity. He also needs to make serious changes in the recruitment department. They are costing him money big time
