We did score, the first 2 goals killed us being against the run of play.

we did score, but we scored 1 and they scored 3. If you concede 3 away from home you’ve a slim chance of getting a result. Once it hit 2-0 you could see it was game over. Again, the stats look good and I believe we’re 5th in terms of possession this year but it really means nothing. Yet again I’ve seen a poor side along with plenty others this year get a result against us.
We look ineffective going forward and weak at the back and this form will see us drop down a league.

I have sympathy with the argument that Potter isn't blessed with quality forwards. The first half sums up the problems neatly. We spent 30 minutes looking pretty but powder puff in the final third, bar one chance (Mooy to Maupay, saved). The AFCB pressed and took over for 10 mins. In that time, they scored 2 and should have had another 2.

So on the one hand, we don't have the firepower to take advantage of our long spells of control. On the other, when we lose control, our defence turns to complete shit. It was laughable, for 10 mins they looked like pub players up against Man City. Even against Villa, the pattern wasn't too dissimilar, except Villa's forwards are even worse than Bournemouth's.

Simple analysis from the game regarding our defending. Tonight the amount of times I saw Dunk covering the right hand side due to Webster being absent was yet it was never the other way round. Dunk hardly ever has to cover Duffy and visa versa. Dunk is doing the job of two men. I can’t get over how poor Webster is at holding his position and reading the game.

But it wasnt? Bournemouth were looking dangerous before they scored whilst we knocked the ball about but never looked like sticking it away.
It was. They looked dangerous for two minutes before they scored, completely against the run of play. They would have been thinking, as were the SSN pundits, how the hell did they find themselves two goals up.

BBC sussex blaming the commentary team at the end there: "Albion Beaten here 3-1 thanks to Johnny Cantor and Warren Aspinall. We'll be back with the Albion in 10 days"

As I said, I’m sure you’re right. You should write to Sky Sports and insist that you get a job as a pundit.

Right, I’ll ignore your unnecessarily snide comments, and I’ll assume that you haven’t watched the game, hence you’re still clinging to the hyperbolic Sky Sports screen grab. When you get a chance, watch the highlights, Ramsdale made mostly routine saves, one very acrobatic save that was more or less straight at him and Dunk hit a shot into his chest from about yard away.

Mullery to do the team talks? Could do worse! There are times when I still miss him in charge, and this is one of them.

Exactly! The flogging will continue until the morale improves!!

Made the same point myself. We’re so starved of goals and shots that any routine save is classed as Banks-esq when it clearly is just meat and veg to a Pro. We are not unlucky, Keepers aren’t all world class. We are most definitely just a complete joke in the final third and have been for a long time. Too long.

I'm just glad GP gave our superstars a break against Sheffield Wednesday. They all deserve a weekend off.

We lost 5-0 to these lot last year.

Yet weren’t as defensively bad as we were today, somehow. We deserved to concede more than 5 today. We were fortunate to be playing a team who don’t score. And they still scored 3.

Yet once again Potter got his subs wrong. 2 down and offering nothing was crying out for GM to put their defenders under pressure but for some unknown reason GP will not do it and that obstanance is going to get us relegated.

You are absolutely right - he clearly hasn't seen the footage. Their keeper did his job well but you do wonder where Sky get their analysts. I can't imagine the bloke who wrote that guff has ever played at any level if he thinks their keeper was somehow unbeatable.

Loving this season. The football at times is fantastic. All the players seem decent so the “no dickheads” policy is obviously working. The improvement in all the players is there for all to see.
The three team relegation policy was introduced to add excitement to this half of the season and it has certainly done that!
Most of my life supporting Brighton has usually been either promotion or relegation battles. Not much changes. Of course we are always going to be fighting relegation in this league, we are hardly likely to be pushing for Europe or the title.
Bournemouth goalie gets man of the match. Story of my life! From my memories at the Goldstone most goalies from the oppo had fantastic performances.

Just back, the most spineless performance so far this season.

We desperately need a decent forward
