Would still take a point as its away, it would also mean they hang onto Eddie. They sack him and there will be a bounce, leave it as long as possible

I think absolutely the opposite - he'll have got them massively fired up, and they'll come flying out at us from the off. Hopefully leaving gaps all over the place.

I hope so, that would be better for us.. just think he will be thinking "anything to stop the rot" and give them some sort of platform to improve. Not easy to do though as we know from last season!

No. Absolutely not.

Tonight is shit or bust for our season, Bournemouth are in terrible form and missing their captain and half their squad.

I want to see us go for the jugular from the 1st second. If we're strolling round the pitch looking like we're happy to take a draw I reckon they'll gain confidence and do us.

I would but then I’m a pessimist.

Don’t like the stat that there are only three teams yet to score in 2020 and that B’muff are one of them. Hate runs like that when we’re due to play a team.

No. Need to be kicking them whilst they're down and forming a cushion between ourselves and the bottom 3. We have a nightmare run of fixtures in the coming months and need however many points we can get

Settling for a draw against probably the weakest team in the league right now? We might as well wave the white flag and accept that we're relegated.

No ****ing chance. We're a much better team than Bournemouth, as we showed very recently.

I wish I could be confident about tonight, but this is absolutely set up to be one of those typical games where we rock up and get turned over by the most hopeless out-of-form team in the division. In all my years of watching BHA, its happened time and time and time again. I could almost lay money on it - in fact I think I probably will.

Muff are @15/8.

Why is it when some people discuss Brighton's chances they come from a dark place of doom that clearly demonstrates that we can't win but then talk up a team with three points less and a far worse GD as if they're World beaters. It's January, we will win and should the unlikely happen and we lose the World will continue spinning and we have half a bloody season to get it right!

Three points please. We surely cannot survive in the PL without picking up 3 points here and there. Bournemouth are among our best chances of getting these valuable wins. If we fail to beat Plucky, what hope is there of us getting 3 pts elsewhere over the rest of the season?

And not to mention getting sweet revenge on Eddie's team for the ravaging we sustained last season.

This. Over and over again over the years.

I suspect we will get further into the mire before we start to fight to get out.

But I still think we should go and attack. And ............. Get Into Them. As we used to say.

Villa,Bournemouth,West Ham,Watford. Four teams in a row below us. These are the important ones. Stop them getting points as well as us getting them. Poor to draw against Villa we need to win at least two of the next three to build a lead over bottom three before,March and April fixtures only Norwich away and possibly Arsenal at home look like points in the bag.

No because you can't bank on Villa not overtaking us. Their current form is much better than ours

Over how many games is it "much better" - in the last 6 games they have 2 more points than us, where they have converted 1 draw to a win. We have W1 D2 L3, Villa have W2 D1 L3 - hardly much better...

If you take the last 10 games we are actually 2 points better off than Villa - so pick your number of games, and we will see where they are so much better off than us!

I agree with this....but does Potter have the ability to get a team scrapping for their lives?

Since beating Man U on 2nd November, Plucky have gone:

LLLLLWLDLLLL

Just that weird win at Chelsea. They haven't even scored since the Boxing Day draw v Arsenal.

Yup, its all set up.

With Villa playing Watford, regardless of that result a point will keep us a min 3 points above the drop zone.

Bournemouth are on a poor run, but they are a decent enough side. Point away from home in the PL is never a poor one.
