[Albion] Why is Dunk consistently overlooked by England?

Pity they don't. Doesn't it amount to libel?

I'm no lawyer, but I'd certainly think twice before going online and referring to a Premier League footballer as a rapist.

There was a case last year where someone was convicted and given a suspended sentence for posting racists tweets about Salah. This type of shite can definitely come back to bite you.

Considering Paul Barber's eagerness to discipline Albion fans for besmirching the club, or any other online indiscretion, it's amazing that they don't take action.

I'm sure he would if it was an Albion fan doing it. Which is odd.

There lies the class difference between the 2 clubs and that’s fact not biased opinion. They had a clear video of many ‘fans’ breaking into the Amex, putting a steward or 2 in hospital and endangering their own fans / stewards with fireworks and pushing through turnstiles. They left a number of their own fans with tickets outside and pissed off. The next day Parish promised they’d be finding the culprits on their official site. And conveniently have published nothing since and there’s been no evidence or discussions of bans. He hopes we’ll all forget. In the meantime, rather than finding and banning their own idiots, Palace & their fans seem to have obsessed over a tweet from Sussex Police. They are nowhere near our class. Another example is ‘poof are’ and how they never public ally apologised or divulged the truth. They should be ashamed.

Now they allow their fans to bizarrely call a completely 100% innocent Albion player a horrendous thing - and of course don’t act. No surprise.

Well done for writing something on there. I’m fed up of seeing them call Dunk a ‘rapist’ as it’s totally untrue and very vicious. I think Insider should look at this and CPFC (2010) should take action - or is. It’s a piss take.

Pathetic isn't it. Its like everything else with some of the goons who follow that squalid little club. They'll make something up, and then endlessly repeat it so that eventually the thickets actually believe it. Its a waste of time pointing out that (a) he was never charged with rape and (b) he was acquitted of all charges by a jury. Far more fun for them to carry on falsely claiming that the CB and captain of BHA is a convicted rapist.

In true Keegan style I'd love it, LOVE it if one or more of them got done for repeating and perpetuating that stupid lie online.

That's what they're on about? That's the 'she said no Lewis' song?!

****ing morons.

I know I shouldn't be surprised by Palace being utter ****witted morons but, somehow, I am.

As well as it being massively clutching at straws, it literally took 5 years for them to come up with a song about it - very very odd

Albion fans should report it - and Dunk should take action imo - would stop it just like that.

I'm sure he would if LD agreed.

I'm even more sure the last thing LD wants is the whole thing rehashed through the media.

Given some of the names Southgate is picking instead, I am currently at a complete loss as to why Dunk is being overlooked.
The guy's an idiot. He's admitted picking players because they play for big clubs, despite them not being as good as other players at his disposal, purely because they're used to a lot of attention on a national scale. Where do you ****ing start with that?

Pick players on merit, and if they can't handle the pressure, drop them. It's not ****ing complicated.

I agree, but he's also picked players in the same position from Aston Villa, Burnley. Doesn't even cover his own logic.

Dunk = was never up for rape, and was found not guilty of what he was anyway
Nobody was raped. There wasn't even a case for rape, because no one even had sex. And when all that didn't happen, Dunk wasn't even bloody there!

Has he actually done that?

Harsh to call him an idiot. Whilst I disagree with him on Dunk, it's difficult to argue that he's done a bad job, especially when compared to some seriously experienced managers in the same role.

You don't have to cover your own logic when you're an idiot.

Yes, he said that he was more inclined to pick players from big clubs, as they were more used to pressure at a high level.

I'm not saying that all his decisions have been wrong. I'm not saying that he's not instilled some sense of pride among those who are playing for their country. I am criticising his policy of picking players from bigger clubs, based on the size of the club, rather than picking solely on the performance of the player.

Can you find a quote anywhere from him saying this? I'm not doubting you, just interested to see it. Seems ridiculous, especially when he's picked players from Burnley, Villa etc.

Not when you look at the careless, costly f-ups by John Stones in trying to play the ball out last summer in the Nations League finals v Holland. Stones had hardly played for City for EXACTLY those type of repeated errors that Dunk had largely eradicated from his game 3 years ago.

But Stones is a Citeh player (even though Pep doesn't play him), so of course he's better than the likes of some centrehalf playing week-in, week out for little ol' BHA in the PL.

Southgates done well overall of course. But he seems to have a blind spot when it comes to picking CB's. Which is surprising given that he was one himself.
