I'm sure nothing will be finalised before Jan 31st - and we know our recruitment and injury situation.

5 months at Forest may tempt him then, and maybe a year at Millwall or Crawley after that.

He should do what he wants to do.

If he wants to stay, enjoy the success and play sporadically, do it. If he wants to be a key player in some Championship team for another 6 or 18 months, he should do it. He scored 13 goals in the PL last season so he would obviously be useful to more or less any Championship team.

Pffft... He's Premier League at best.

Why specifically Millwall or Crawley? Do you know something someone else doesn't?

I fancy he will hang his boots up long before that. He has no need to traipse around the country playing for teams in lower and lower divisions.

Relatively they are the most painless commutes.

This thread is about us being in Glenn's boots, not about what he'll end up doing.

since previously staying in south for home life, staying to coach or a nearby club, not likely to want to travel much less move.

He could rejoin Palace at then end of the season, and help them get back up into the Premier League?

Although I can't bring myself to wish for anyone to score goals for them, there would be a certain irony in seeing a cash strapped Palace looking to Glenn to bail them out after the failure of the multi million pound flop they replaced him with. If I was Hodgson, I'd be looking at him for the short term, particularly if I was able to keep Zaha.

With Locadia and Andone out of the frame and Connolly only 19 and coming back from injury Glenn remains an important part of the squad.

Moreover, training alongside Glenn will help Connolly and Maupay's improvement. Even now, his positional sense and ability to win free kicks is exceptional.

We need him.

This is why it is better for Jan Mlakar to be recalled from sitting on the QPR bench - to learn from Glenn.

It would be lovely to see him join the likes of Rosenior, Sidwell, Bruno and Crofts.
Hasn't Calderon made noises about returning in some shape or form?

Bob 'The Cat' Wilson? Shirley some mistake

'The Cat' was Peter Bonetti across town at Chelsea

Oops, you're right! So what was his nickname, apart from "Jocko"? (Wasn't there a song about Jocko Wilson?!)

Where would he go in the Championship to play more regularly at the age of 36?

Stay and retire in the summer and then concentrate on his media work. I think he’s probably already been talking about the future with Sky.

Maybe do a Sidwell and combine media work and coaching the strikers. Maupay says how he has benefited from Glenn’s input.

If you were Glen Murray would you (a) stick with the Albion even though you won't probably get a lot of game time or (b) go for one last hurrah somewhere else, possibly even in the Championship?

With all the games over Christmas and New Year he'll probably get more time than he has been getting but after that probably not, especially if we sign another forward.

I still think he can win a game (or two) for us before the season is out and presumably he'll start against Sheff Wed but I can't see him getting a regular start.

Maybe we should do what Sours did way back in the 60's when they sold England centre forward Bobby Smith to us for peanuts so that he could negotiate a good pay deal with us (a fair amount of which ended up in Bookies' pockets) .

I'm not even sure our style of play suits Glen these days but I'm sure he'd still be able hack it in the Championship and maybe make himself a hero by getting another team promoted?

One things for sure, we won't just move him on and say thanks for the memories, what he wants to do will be up to him.

I'm not sure what I would do if I were him, stick with PL wages and hope to score the winner against Palace or go for glory somewhere else?

Decisions, decisions ......

Stay where he is. Muzza would be in the Championship soon enough.

He’ll not want to stray far so it would need to be a club where he could easily commute from Brighton for training, also keeping him with easy reach of a London for his burgeoning media career.
