The so called lesser teams will see the flaw in Potters tactics also. Certainly an easy way to get points off us.
Worrying times ahead

Perhaps........it does feel a bit like a gamble at times. Against Everton, at 2-2 and into injury time, pragmatic CH would have had 11 men behind the ball to make sure we took a point (and I suspect we'd have all been fairly happy with that). When we scored the 3rd, we had 5 players in their box so were probably taking a heck of a risk of being done on the counter. I'm enjoying watching it though - wasn't last season.

Come on Darren don't be naive like the other clowns on here. We got ******** lucky against Everton with that terrible var decision They were all over us and were the better side That gave us a massive lift and momentum.
We huffed and puffed against Norwich but ran out deserved winners. I wasnt convinced by that performance one bit.

Do explain. Leaving pointless smileys isn't helpful

The point is, Spence, according to you every win we get is either laboured, lucky, or because the other team was shit. Then when we lose you're all over it like a tramp on chips, basking in some kind of misplaced 'told you so' glory as though you're some kind of GURU, forecasting that BHA might lose some games in the PL.

Its just got really old. You despise Potter and want us to lose every game so you can come on here and look clever. We get it. Have a day off though eh ?

(obviously your next day off will be in the aftermath of our next win, as usual).

Dave use the ignore feature. It's there to use.

Against Southampton and Leicester we have been caught upfield going for a goal and ended up losing as a result. Both were gambles, the first time when down to ten men and the second against a team that is fantastic on the break. If you're going to take that risk, you can't afford to make the sort of basic errors that we did on each occasion.
Yes, playing more positively results in reduced defensive certainty. Against Everton we had the joy of seeing a brilliant team goal late on to secure a famous win and two crucial extra points. Against Tottenham we seized our opportunity by attacking a big name team (who were there for the taking on that day).

I've never put anyone on ignore, nor will I. I'll read any opinions on here, whether they are concise observations and considered viewpoints, or utter bollocks from WUM's with an agenda just seeking a reaction. Luckily I can always skim-read.

But equally we played very well against West Ham (who had great form at the time), against Burnley on top for pretty much the entire match, so any luck we might have got against Everton I think we had against us in those home games, and away to Villa for that matter where we probably deserved something out of the game playing an hour with 10 men. On a different day a ref isn't sending Mooy off. You can complain about tactics, but our 2 red cards which undoubtedly cost us points in games we still dominated for periods with 10, weren't the fault of the manager.

The goal conceded against West Ham is the exact reason why Potter's tactics are flawed. They scored from our weakness which is down the channels. This is and will continue to be our biggest weakness.
Agree about Burnley but at the end of the day it was still only a draw.
I was impressed with us at Newcastle but Newcastle were shockingly bad.

Ok, didn't take long for you to resort to insulting language. I knew trying a sensible debate was a bit pointless.

It's a shrug, not a smiley.

Insulting ? Seriously? I better stay away from talking with you just in case you are deliberately offended for no reason. You surprise me

But surely every team has weaknesses? You seem to be expecting a world class team with less than world class players and then determined to blame GP for it.

CH played ultra-safe and got a few points. GP takes risks and gets the same number of points. I know which I'd prefer.

For the time being Brighton are going to lose a good few matches. If you don't like it then go and support a bigger team.

Maybe insulting isn’t quite the word the OP should have used...but let’s face it anyone who doesn’t know as much as you claim to is either a gimp or a clown (in your words) ..and yet you are the one who is complaining about pointless emojis..

The tactics were naive yes. And they will be again. Brighton is going to win bigger and lose bigger with GP because that happens when you turn a bus parking exhibit into a footballing contest. Tony Bloom got the team a new costume that is going to take time - years - to fully grow into.

If you want Brighton be a stronger club in the long run you gotta do it like that. Playing shit football and hope you survive every year... Crystal Palace, Newcastle etc can do that, but if you wanna grow you got to be brave even though you'll every now and then will get crushed by stronger teams.

totally agree, and we were not crushed either :)

Although we started with three at the back, it looked from my eyes that we moved to a flat back four after about 10 minutes.

Although we were second best for most of the game, the goals came from giving the ball away in a terrible position and a soft penalty.

Hardly cause for alarm.
