Does it matter what Corbyns view is? I mean, if I choose to fly to Greece, I don't need to know if the Pilot would rather be flying to Italy, he is still taking me to Greece.

The people should make the final decision on the Brexit deal rather than politicians (from all sides) who have not been able to do it. I suspect Corbyn is an avid leaver but I don’t care what he thinks, I’ll make my decision based on all the facts I’ve learned over the last 4 years. It’s clear that members of the Labour Party (like last time) will be free to campaign on either side; I suspect they’ll be the only party to allow that, the only party that represents the split views of the Country.

Can I suggest then, that if you don't want to be 'disappointed' or 'lied to yet again' (depending on your POV) you read up a little about the trade deals that the EU has done in the past and how long they take by size and complexity.

And, of course, I'm sure you are aware that the current £39B 'divorce bill' only takes us to the end of 2020 and a new bill will need to be negotiated if we go beyond that date.

As a little steer, you may want to start with the most recent Canada deal, which has taken over 10 years, has no aspect of services (the thing that makes up 80% of Britain's GDP) and still isn't fully implemented.

I knew it was quite a large number of countries that we had arrangements with, didn't realise it was quite that large. I see we have no trade deal with the Saudis, how do we get round that, to illegally sell them arms.

We can sell anything to anyone, except Syria I think as there is a UN Embargo. But when we have a trade deal with a country, we can sell at reduced or zero Tariff, on the condition that they can also sell to us with reduced or zero Tariff. Free marketeers would like the world to be able to trade with whoever else in the world without tariff, and this would be good, so long as one country is not using child labour, or slave labour, or has poor environmental standards.

Corbyn's view is simple and I cannot believe so many people cannot see it.

Remain in the Custom's Union.

He gets his deal with the EU where we leave but remain in the Custom's Union, it goes to a 2nd Referendum, people's vote, or what ever you, me, they decide to call it.

We for for it. = Corbyn wins.

We vote against it and to remain. = Corbyn wins.

Corbyn won’t declare which option he will endorse, if he gets the chance to negotiate a new deal, because, and here’s the sensible bit, he doesn’t yet know what deal he can get out of the EU. Why he didn’t make this point last night, I fail to understand.
It would have shut his critics up, and it appears eminently sensible.

But the Lib Dems, Greens and SNP state clearly that they would revoke Article 50 by an emailed letter on day one.

Why on earth hasn’t Corbyn (or the Labour hierarchy) got the balls to say the same?

Why would the Corbynista’s who adore the EU in this thread not demand that he does that, and be thoroughly pissed off that he won’t commit to that?

BECAUSE CORBYN AND HIS NSC FAN-BOYS ARE PAYING PETTY PARTY POLITICS FIRST AND FOREMOST. PLAYING A GAME NOT IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST, OF NOT PUTTING OUR FULL MEMBERSHIP OF THE EU FIRST, IN A DUPLICITOUS APPROACH OF PRETENDING TO BE REMAIN TO SOME CONSTITUENCIES AND BREXIT TO OTHERS.

You’ve relentlessly told us tor 4 years that continued full EU membership is the issue of our times, then allow your hero in not making it the issue of our times by guaranteeing the revocation of Article 50.

The fact that the very people that are supposed to enact the will of the electorate have done everything they can to stop the result of the referendum from happening. Just wrong, and pointing out that the result was not legally binding is just semantics.
