Profligate? We've conceded 10 goals in 7 matches, including away trips to Man. City and Chelsea (4 in 5 against non-top six opposition). That's hardly profligate IMHO.
We certainly haven't had the rub of the green, particularly at home.

We have won away, but the largest was a 2-0 win back in 1926 - our second away win against them that decade, our first was the previous season 2-1. Our next away win v Norwich was also 2-1 in 1946. We followed that up the following season (though still in 1946) with a 3-2 away win. 2-1 in '49. 1-0 win in '51. Another 1-0 this time in the cup '66.
We beat them on Boxing day 2002, 1-0, which is our last away win against them.

Mmm, not sure your thinking there. Norwich are currently below us (albeit same points) despite beating man city, Villa are a point behind us and can't seem to hold on to a lead. Sheff United are flying but they'll hit a tough patch I'm sure. They seem to have that just-arrived-in-the-Prem spirit and confidence at the moment, but their squad is thin. If you're basing it on performances then we've not done badly either.

Still light years ahead of how I felt last season, the results in our favour will come, the injury to Trossard was a killer, he looked pivotal to everything Potter is trying to do and his link up play with Maupay will pay off upon his return.

That is not what I am saying at all. I think that we need to be more solid at the back with a back four of Montoya, 2 from Webster Duffy and Dunk not sure which 2 though and Bernardo then build through the middle to provide the chances for the 2 strikers not route one as you suggest but basic controlled football playing our way through teams but with a solid back line.

If you do not or can't score and concede 1 goal in a game you lose thus if scoring is a problem you must learn to stop conceding.

Obviously their individual ability wouldn't. Their cohesiveness as a unit would or at least should.

It has been good SO FAR and many would have settled for about we are now. There is all to play for. BUT it is really how we look into the future. I am fearful that with our strike force and lack of experience we are really going to struggle.
Sending out Locardia and Andone without adequate replacement was mismanagement.

The dicking around and in defence leading up to the penalty on Saturday makes me think we will ship a few more this season.

50 years of being emotionally involved with the club, it always hurts when we drop points, used destroy my weekend, learnt how to hide it over the years.
Never impressed with twats saying how bad we are, we're going down, sack the manager. Clearly your not emotionally involved with the club yet.
When you are, you will accept the rises and the falls. Supporters that signed for long term will know that.
Sadly I still feel disappointed if we don't win, no matter what opposition. But at the end of the season I'm a realist, if we tried and played well then I proud of you.
If we were crap, so be it, there's nothing I can do. Sad for a couple of weeks and then the next season starts. It's a football rollercoaster that every true fan of any club plays.
I appreciate that opinion on the forum is how it works, but sadly to some of us, continuous negativity hurts, when we are already hurting by a result or decision that didn't go our way.
So stop being an anonymous internet warrior and perhaps become a Brighton & Hove Albion fan, it's a wonderful love affair... just don't tell the misses, actually I think she knows, big time. Plenty of love to share I guess.

I agree the lack of goals is also a worry. However, when we had a full compliment of players we were creating plenty of chances. I'm relatively confident that when the injured players come back we will create a similar number of chances and will start taking them.
The injuries haven't affected the defense so much unless you think March is the defensive lynch pin? I think the back three, as a unit, have looked vulnerable from day one. Anyone that runs at them causes havoc and teams have been able to play through and behind them surprisingly easily. I'm hoping it's just teething trouble as the players adapt to not just a new formation but style of play.
Nonetheless, it is the defense that is, for me, the most worrying aspect of our performances this season.
