I saw that picture on the BBC report. I had to look closely to see if Dick Head had been at it!

Mason Bennett was Derby's ambassador at Drinkaware's 'Walking Football Cup' less than 2 weeks ago

You couldn't make it up.

There's some superb whatabouttery from Derby fans too. I wrote a piece on United's accounts yesterday on Bozza'a football finance site as they have just been published, and by an amazing coincidence if you take the first letter of each sentence it spells 'I'd rather have Richard Keogh at the wheel than Ed Woodward' and they are very keen to point out that Keogh was only a passenger and became OUTRAGED

Bad news for Ireland - planning on attempting an epic park the bus job in Switzerland next month, now without Keogh and Duffy.

Being reported today that Keogh is out for up to 15 months with the knee injury sustained in the 'incident'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/s...lay-December-YEAR-two-ruptured-ligaments.html

"Despite being absent, Keogh was reportedly still mocked by his rival Birmingham supporters who chanted: "He should have walked home, he should have walked home, Richard Keogh, he should have walked home" – and Derby supporters applauded them, according to The Daily Mail"

Some lovely pics of the evening are up too.

Such a shame, a fine player at Championship level, well thought of at Derby and then this... Fair to say he's not terribly popular right now.

Huddlestone was named as Derby's replacement captain - but was then promptly stripped of it after it emerged he was the one who uploaded the film of Bennett puking in the toilets online.

Bet he's popular now.

Appalling PR for Derby

There seems to be a drink, driving culture within football. Dozens of footballers have been caught out, several of them high profile ones. I can think of at least two where there have been fatalities as a result.

At the heart of all this is the car culture and I’ll guess some sort of above the law attitude.

Crowing at Derby is always mildly amusing, but I hope that we’re making sure our own house in in order and arranging awareness training in the same way as we pre-emptively arranged the consent training

Tell you what - all this trouble, and terrible consequences, over what (from those photos) looks like an absolutely SHIT night out!
