OK, I see the difference but my initial point was the hypocrisy with which they operate, they decided to sack Baker but supported Brand, therefore it's a reasonable assumption to say that had see worked for them she wouldn't have been sacked and that seems hypocritical.

Why do you think they sacked Baker and not Brand (if they could).

I don't think Katie Piper would consider this funny either.

They sacked Baker as they felt he wasn't joking, or was and it was in bad taste, and they considered it racist, personally I feel there's more to his sacking than we're being told. I would argue that Brand, if she were employed, should be treated equally, the offence is different, but the severity the same, she is, afterall, talking about throwing acid at people at a time that MPs are expressing concerns about their personal safety and have significant evidence to prove that this concern is well founded.

People, in general, will react to this based on their political standpoint though rather than the offence and potential consequence.

Fair points.
Baker is on the left politically too though.

Just to be clear Jo Brand doesnt work for the BBC - She was contracted by Hatrick productions - so the BBC can't sack her . However the program is pre recorded so someone decided to leave that edit in .

Thank you, I'm glad at last that someone has pointed out that you can't sack someone who doesn't work for you. I suspect it wasn't edited out because it is clearly a joke...

The problem with Jo Brand is she is quick to attack and censure and want to get rid of certain groups in society if they dont fall in line with her views but then pleads freedom of speech when the roles are reversed .
Always thought of her as a bully comedian where people/panelists feel they have to agree or they face her unpleasant castigation.

Does she? What groups in society has she tried to get rid of?

Say it was a white male right wing comic (are there any) for example Jim Davidson who said that about Diane Abbot would he still be employed by the BBC? I think not. In fact by now the Met probably would've arrested him for a 'hate crime' . She's a vile loathsome creature who should be sacked for inciting violence, but to the BBC she's untouchable as a feminist left wing comic and no doubt to the BBC it's 'only Farage' she suggested chucking battery acid over.

As for Brand total hypocrite, makes out she opposes capitalism but is wealthy through running her own comedy business and no doubt lives in a big house and drives a nice car etc.

Typical of the left who oppose power and success and whose usual tactic is to smear anyone who dares disagree with them as 'nazis' and fascists' or to throw milkshake over those who dare express the 'wrong' view.

Joe Brand AKA; I hated men before it was fashionable HA HA HA I’m so funny listen to my jokes about how much I hate men.

Boring woman, terrible comedian and clearly can’t control her tongue, which is unfortunate.

Inciting violence does. Are you really that confident that no one will throw acid in a politician's face? Also, has Baker been prosecuted by the police for breaking any racism laws?

I did not say Baker had broken any laws. I was merely stating a difference as to why they might have sacked him as racism can viewed differently..one example being the law. On reflection maybe I wasn’t clear but this is what I meant. I also mentioned the Beebs own diversity rules.

As for Jo Brand, if you really think she was inciting violence fine. I’ll leave you to it.

Excellent post.
