Love your thoughts BUT without making some of your own suggestions your thoughts are invalid :rave:

I deal in FACTS not speculation/wishful thinking.

Whatever our potential transfer targets are, we will never of heard of them and they have to be good defenders. End of.

A few others worth considering?

Strikers :
Christhian Stuani - Girona
Iago Aspas - Celta Vigo
Nicolas Pepe - Lille
Aleksander Mitrovic - Fulham
Duvan Zapata - Atalanta - This guy would be fantastic. Seen a fair bit of him in Italy this season and would be a great addition.

Midfield :
Bradley Dack - Blackburn
Mateusz Klich - Leeds (if not promoted)
Giovani Lo Celso - Real Betis

Left Back :
Moritz Bauer - Stoke City
Reece James - Chelsea/Wigan (currently on loan)

Some good shouts there but a bit overambitious with Lo Celso and Zapata perhaps. The first has been linked with Real and Barca, the second was the subject of a massive January bid from West Ham, which Atalanta rejected.

Great prospect, but the '£10 million price tag' is clearly NOT right, seeing as that's the price they turned DOWN from Leeds in January (before he had a blistering second half of the season).

That’s what I thought but according to Wales Online and The Sun (yes I know), he’s out of contract next season which is why it’s a lower price. Swansea are not in a great position either apparently with dubious owners.

Man Utd now also after him apparently.

For ****s sake, when will people get it, we won’t buy any of theses random names...

Our recruitment policy is we will buy, mainly, from abroad and players we have never heard of (well most of us, as there’s always one smart Alec).

Given that our Head of Recruitment has a new boss - known for his work developing England's youth teams into world beaters - then perhaps Tony Bloom wants our recruitment policy to change.

Maybe that's true, but I can't see how taking Chelsea's surplus to requirements is an improvement. I still think the bulk of our transfer activity will come from outside England, just hopefully a little more successful than of late...

Chelsea are currently third in the table, and in the semi-final of the Europa League. They have a massive youth team squad, and c40 players out on loan. Chelsea's 'surplus' not only includes the rumoured Reece James, but the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi who has recently been capped by England, Tammy Abraham who has been scoring for fun at Villa, Tomori, and much, much more. Yet you can't see how this 'surplus' might constitute an improvement for us, who will finish 17th in the league.

Exactly. 7 or 8 Chelsea surplus signed and our team would improve ten-fold.
Absolute arrogance to assume anything other than that. Their youth academy is an absolute factory line of talent.

You misunderstand my point clearly, yes these players would be an improvement for us, but they aren't going to come to Brighton - we can't afford their wages and they won't want to come to a team fending off relegation - maybe some of the players you name may come out on loan, but us buy them, no!

I stand by my point, our recruitment will not come from Premier League teams reserves/development squads!

lets face it , it will be NONE OF THE ABOVE...Who had heard of Florine Andone before we got him? not me..it will undoubtedly be someone we have not heard of (unless you are a heavy FPL player ) Also anyone already in the PL or championship for that matter probably wont sign for us after this years performances.

Daniel James from Swansea should be high on our list, he is the real deal and exactly the sort of player we need - pace to burn.

Also wanted by Man City/Everton/Leeds but if the £10 million price tag is right, I think that’s a snip in today’s market.
Agreed would be a great signing and out of contract I think.

Same question, why would they come to Brighton? What do we offer them that others don't?

First team football. The best facilities of 'the other' Premier league teams. They wouldn't have to move (if they didn't fancy it), and if they did it's close enough to feel connected to friends and family. A decent 'cosmopolitan' city. A decent wage.

I’d happily have Tomori back. Think I heard in commentary the other day that he got player of the season at Derby. Class player.

A decent wage - I wonder if our first team wages are more than Chelsea's reserves wages?

Your other points all sound tempting, but I just don't see players rushing to the anti-football capital of the world!

Do you really think Reece James is merely "surplus to [Chelsea] requirements" instead of actually an incredible 18 year old prospect ? ???
