Taking that comment out of context of the rest of the post isn't fair and you know it. The point is a change of manager is a 50/50 gamble. It could go either way. We could just as easily find a better manager with a bit of research and be looking back in 10 years at how grateful we are to Hughton but how pleased we are that we moved on. Southampton did it this season. Watford did it with Gracia. WHU did it with Pellegrini to a large extent. Everton have got the improved football they desired through a change of manager. Norwich have done it in the Championship. The list goes on and on.

I must admit that I can’t remember much about that match, other than we played very well and that Foster made a bunch of quality saves. Our last all round great league performance!!!
The list does go on and on Fulham with Ranieri, Manchester United with Moyes, Everton with Koeman, Palace with De Boer.
As you say, it's a gamble with no evidence to suggest it will work.
With a bottom three player budget last season, yet we finished higher than that.
This season, the same again and we’re likely to stay up.
Everything is relative to the competition.

Definitely a Hughton supporter and will be until the end I suspect.
That doesn't mean he is never wrong.
I definitely think he got the team wrong on Saturday.
For once he seemed to acknowledged it by making a decisive change at half time.
I was surprised it was for Andone though.

So he’s not the best funded manager that Brighton have ever had? Not sure best funded in the Premier League was being suggested.
He's looked at the accounts?
Point taken, but a comparison with the Championship is pretty ridiculous when you are in the Premier League surely?

Is this to do with being a Premier League club? If so just about all of them bring in more money than the manager gets to spend don’t they?
It’s certainly not through on the field activities is it?
But if 17 other clubs player budgets are far better funded, many massively so (CP, Everton, West Ham, Leicester), then our budget in the market buys a lower grade of player.

Well if that's what £150 odd million serves up we might as well all pack up and go home.
No one is stopping you. If two victories over Manchester United, the double over Palace and only the second FA Cup semi-final in the history of the club can't keep you happy then you're better off supporting another club as the future is only going to disappoint you.

100%. As I said, it's a 50/50 chance. But by your logic, there's never any evidence to support a managerial change as, unsurprisingly, we can't collect evidence from the future. Yet people change their managers with regularity, sometimes to good effect and sometimes not so. In this instance you're pessimistic about such changes and I'm optimistic. And I'm basing that optimism on what I see out on the pitch every single week which is awful football with an increasingly confused tactical plan from a man who hasn't really improved the players he's been given. So the right managerial appointment could see improvements in all or some of these areas which could lead to an improvement in results.
Or it may not. I guess we'll find out when he does eventually leave.

So how much does he need to spend to stop playing with 10 men on our own 18 yard line?
How much does he need to switch from changing a winger for a winger on 75 minutes when his one dimensional tactics aren't working ..............again ?
