That's a pretty stupid statement. Why don't you go to Russia and suggest the Crimea should be part of Ukraine. Or go to Tiawan and say it should be part of China. Or the Falklands and say it should be part of Argentina.

And I have no desire to go to NI - especially given it contains backward stoneage political parties such as the DUP.

You should go. The restaurants are superb, great night life and the Titanic museum is astonishing. And that’s just Belfast. The countryside is also stunning.
I’m glad most people don’t boycott travelling just because of the governments. It’d be a pretty narrow minded world if people avoided countries on that basis.

You said you voted for the EU and spent 40 years 'shaping and ensuring that we have the right vetoes, refunds and control over our position in it'

You do understand that the EU was renamed from the European Economic Community in 1993 and a lot of what we negotiated in the EEC between 1973 and 1993 then went on to form the basis of the EU ?

Anyway, can't waste my time waffling bollocks with you when there are so many Monday-Thursday early evening dinner deals out there

No, I wondered if you had a link to what you said about the Irish border question being the 3rd most important issue in voters minds in the run up to the referendum.

That article is slightly amusing from a leave perspective. Much is often said about 'farcical' and 'laughing stock' situations in which our government has got itself into and some of the time I would concur. However in one paragraph you have the EU non entity stating a hard border would ensue from a no deal Brexit and just after a statement directly contradicting that from the Irish prime minister.

I think you misread. I simply said that the Irish Border issue was a major issue for a lot of voters ???

If you consider 'Waffling bollocks' a waste of time perhaps you should consider not posting any more on this thread :p

Nah, ignoring democratic results when they don't go your way and insisting people vote again puts you in a very select grouping ... enjoy the company my little loon.

We certainly cannot deny the outcome - that more people voted 'Leave' rather than 'Remain' in a highly dubious 2016 Referendum (exaggerations on both sides, corruption in funding/Cambridge Analytica tampering on Leave side),

But do we know yet what sort of 'Leave' those who voted that way expected/asked for? For instance what percentage were voting for a No-deal Brexit?

It seems the outcome was as vague/dodgy as the conduct of the ballot. Do you know the answer 'Bringer of Truth'?

It was quicker than writing Southern Ireland. Are you trying to look for an argument, there really is no need? I have no wish to patronise anybody. I often find it annoying when people do what I did when taking about Munich or Milan funnily enough. I still call Burma Burma though.

Fair enough. I was genuinely wondering why people do it. I believe it was used many years back as a derogatory term.

You are deluding yourself, that the 'right-wing' unpleasantness came / comes only from the ranting angry footsoldiers. That reaction in itself stems from the slant put on the whole case by the right-wing agitators higher up the food chain. The right-wing columnists and headliner writers in right-wing newspapers, owned by right-wing billionaire tax-exiles.

And make no mistake, they knew EXACTLY what they were doing.
Indeed, and the hate spewed after judges ruled in her favour was an unprecedented low in sickening bile, two called " journalism ".

Welcome back from your two and a half year holiday on the moon ... many people do deny the outcome (see this thread). As you have such an interest in finding out which leave option would get the most support would you support a new democratic vote that only included leave options?

Her Majesty's Government does not recognise either the illegal occupation of Crimea by The Russian Federation or Taiwan as a state and The Falkland Islands is an British Overseas Territory, so your counter argument has failed in a quite epic manner.

My original point however was that, just like The Falkland Islanders you now mention and the unionist community of Northern Ireland that I was alluding to, you and I are British and those that advocate the break up of their own country should remember the people they're wanting to sell down the river and betray - their own.
