Maybe there could also be a choice for if we Leave, what kind of Leave would you prefer (probably maximum of two choices so as not to split votes by three or more). But perhaps that's too complicated.
Personally I'd have 1, 2 or 3 leave options, and 1 remain option, and you have to right down your preference in order - 1, 2, 3, 4.

Some leavers would like a specific leave option, and if they can't have it they would rather remain.

It's not complicated and it could be explained to people before the referendum, and if they're not intelligent enough to understand it, then quite frankly they shouldn't be voting anyway.

I think you're over-estimating a large proportion of the general public here, unfortunately.

I like that idea if it comes to it. It does not really split the votes in a way that disadvantages Leave or Remain, so it's fair. I imagine however that if there is another vote, we'll get something worse than that.

Voting numbers

very odd that the SNP, PC and some Liberals abstained from the CU vote. would easily have carried if they followed pattern. this is all very very odd, did they know the numbers of Conservative supporting and deliberately stay away??

I'm not, I already made allowance for those you refer to...

I'm sure they could put a picture alongside the voting option for people like yourself,as they do for the various parties in the developing world.

I didn't realise amongst all this chaos we've got a by-election on Thursday in Newport West. Labour 20/1 on to hold with Hills, with the Tories out at 10/1. UKIP at 10/1 too with Betfred.

UKIP have got their top man in Wales fighting the seat for them too.

It's not a question of them not understanding it and therefore not voting, it's a question of them not understanding it AND voting.

Or, Remain or Leave with a supplementary question for Leave voters asking which of two specific versions they prefer. The answers to the second question would be applied if Leave beat Remain.

Here's one I prepared earlier, although Triggaaar should really get the credit for explaining how it would work

Yes,I have been to the pub,but I would happily support that.Unfortunately, the Establishment wouldn't allow a fair vote again, having lost one already.

PV are fundamentalists, and as bad as the ERG for sure.

It is in their interests to crush sensible, compromise Brexits, so that any vote is against the most extreme and damaging Brexit - which would in their minds make any vote most winnable.

Yes, I agree. I was thinking of staying alive for the next few years. But how can I know what may happen? I may not like it. I shall therefore say my farewells, and will kill myself at the earliest opportunity.

You do yourself no favours with posts like that. 'Idiot remoaner and accusing others of calling leavers thick'.
He probably thinks it's unfair that he can't label us racist.

If only 'our' spokesperson would share the stage with Tommy Not His Name Robinson.
