I know it was a terrible performance today, but come on we are still big favourites to stay up, and are in a better position than a few other sides.

Yes but it doesn't excuse that performance. It was directed for 80 minutes.

Fulham came into this league spending 'big' how did that work out? I've been entertained in a lot of games this season, just because were the underdogs a lot of the time and getting a respectable number of points on the board.

I expect a more entertaining style of play when we are here for a few more years, and can spend a few more hundred million.

Being entertaining and playing well are vastly different things.

For me today's frustration isn't about lack of entertainment or whatever. It's that not a single player on that pitch gave any sort of a shit. And, frankly, I am f**ked off at having paid money I worked hard to earn to watch that pitiful, pathetic, inexcusable, utterly shit house performance.

So you would prefer being in league 1 with a routine 3-0 home win? This premier league is never going to be easy with richer and more established clubs in it.

In fact a semi final next week as well, this is probably one of the best times in the clubs history.

I can see the positives from being in both divisions. It isn’t written in stone that we’ll stay up indefinitely, every season three clubs drop, so if and when it’s our turn, it won’t be the end of the world.

The reality is,

-Our squad is one of the poorest in the league

-if we 'changed' things around and tried to be more direct and imaginative with our game plan, we'd probably be where Fulham are right now.

-CH's style of football in the Prem is boring, but yet it'ill get you those crucial points you need to survive.

Until we start bringing in players who can make more of an instant impact, what can CH really do? He's still relying heavily on the core of his Championship winning team. The signings of recent haven't been great .We've not seen the standard improve over the last year, in fact, we've got worse. Out of all of last summers signings, none of them have been holding down a regular place. The big money signings have disappointed when you consider Alireza Jahanbakhsh looks (so far) bang average, Locadia looks clumsy and limited, Bissouma looks raw and inexperienced, but yet their combined transfer fee came to around £50m

On the positives, Bernado's looking like a good signing at long last, and to be fair, Andone's has showed that instant impact we need from new signings and does look like a player who will up the standard.

But would you say that was a good year for recruitment? I don't and I think it's starting to cost us in this final stage of the season

Great post, and you're probably right to be fair. As I've said elsewhere tonight though, I think we've been a lot worse at home this season though compared to last. Perhaps this is partly due to the new players in the squad not gelling in the same way. None of them have really held down a place , as you say. We've had a pretty inconsistent starting line up this season. Last season Ryan, gross and propper came in and had great seasons alongside players confidently buzzing off their first season in the top flight having had a very successful previous season.

Although having said that , there were so many times today (as in many other games this season) where i was thinking what the f*** do they do all week on the training ground

Nope. Didn't say that.

What I said was that, today, I was, and still am, disgusted at a woeful performance.

No argument that we're in the golden days. But that doesn't excuse shit performances.

"oh that was bad eh?"
"yeah, but isn't it nice being at the big table?"

Bollocks.

So you're happy with how today went I guess, I'd rather shout out to those criticising, they are showing real emotion and football sense for the club they love.

I thought that todays performance was a disgrace with the players, club etc having their minds focused on next Saturday. We know what that meant in 1983 and on todays performance the same could happen this year.

What do I know but if we are to compete at this level we need to have an attack other teams fear. We sit so far back it frustrates me. But then again next Saturday we are at Wembley. Love it. Albion!!!
