I think it could be as low as 32 this year.

Have a play on the predictor below and you can see that if the table remains skewed as it is with the bottom 10/11 not taking many off the top 9, 31/32 may be just enough.

If we get nothing at saints or stoke it will be tricky. However, a point at each could be acceptable as long as we get home wins v Huddersfield and Swansea (by which time locadia may be firing).

Not sure, but it’s so tight from 10th downwards that a couple of wins can make a huge difference. Perhaps lower than the usual 38....36 maybe?

You really think 32 will be enough when even dire Swansea have 20 now and the 18th place is like musical chairs? Can see it being like the 2011 season where Blackpool and Birmingham went down on the last day with points totals normally regarded as enough

It is such a bun fight and everyone’s involved from Everton downwards. Any win will be huge. Any more capitulations in the same vein as at Huddersfield and WBA will mean a swift return to the Champo for us. The Saints game is ****ing huge!

We virtually pre-destined this season when Bloom said that Hewton would still be the manager even if we got relegated...this immediately took the pressure off so whereas all the teams around us are fighting like cats and dogs, many with new managers, to avoid the drop we seen to be progressing calmly, serenely and inevitably towards the Championship safe in the knowledge that our manager will bring us straight back up again. I can't see anything going wrong with that plan.

If we don't score against Southampton and /or lose (forget the FA Cup game) then the West Ham home game is a potential tipping point in ours and Hughtons' season.

Tony Bloom has seen all the teams around us change their managers and as it stands now, they are all picking up their game. We on the other hand are not, so it's either down to the players to save our season, and Hughton his position, or it's coming down to Tony Bloom to make a call, let's see what happens next?

All well and good until we have to sell the core of our squad to stop the FFP vultures circling, and end up with a minimum 3 season rebuilding job using the parachute money to subsidise our losses before repeating the spending charge again.
