I dont run the coffers but would rather go down fighting like today, good football and nice to see us ****ing attack and use our wingers and wingbacks, positive today for me, gutted for Izzy, my MoM and clearly wanted to get on the score sheet. I'll take that

It's all about being positive, not looking back :)
It'll come good.
Unfortunately I'm not feeling too positive at the moment. We're missing crucial chances to get wins.

May get slagged for this but CH more to blame today for lost 2pts than any player. Muff make three subs between 60 and 70 mins to chase game, adjust formation to allow Ibe more space and leave 5 in midfield and to rest weary legs after 4th game in 9/10 days on a very heavy pitch. Both our cm were out on their feet for last 25mins. Weary bodies lead to weary minds, reduced concentration and lower performance. Great effort from the team though - Jose best performance for the Albion and would have deserved a goal. Keep the faith still on track for 1pt per game.

Not enough. We've only got 10 games left against sides outside the top 6, and only 4 of those at home. I'm not sure how we can get 17 points or so from that.

We’re not the only team in that situation so still a long way to go but we really do need to have 36 points by mid March looking at our run in.

The problem started at Newcastle where we had two unused subs.

Today Propper looked really tired after 60mins so no surprise when he couldn't clear the ball for their second.

Agree - with tired legs a couple of substitutes were needed. Bringing Izzy Brown on with two minutes to go was no masterstroke (even if it has inspired one NSCer to make him Man of the Match!). Kayal, March or even Hemed - any of them could have made a difference if brought on for fifteen minutes.
Izquierdo sounded like Man of the Match on the radio for us, but the clear winner of the over-all MotM title would have to be Begovic.

The issue is for any potential transfer target, I’d take one look at how often the manager makes changes given I would likely be on the bench to start and walk away as he just doesn’t make them.

We've been in the Premier League for half a season, give them a break. We are doing okay. A bit of luck will come our way and we'll get some points from scoring a goal like their equaliser.

As a point of order I think that young kids are encouraged to play it out from the back rather than clear it. Or is that just over here?

What’s that got to do with kicking a ball out of the box? If you 2-1 in the final five of a game you simply get the ball out of your box that’s defending 101!

I'm probably in a minority here, but I've always thought that Hunemeier is a better all-round footballer than Duffy, maybe a change round in defence could sort out these stupid goals we give away.
Doesn't matter how good our CBs are - when we've got too many bodies crowding the box, getting in the way and having the ball ricocheting off them all over the place, CBs and goalkeepers sometimes don't have a chance.

Not especially over anywhere. It is of course a necessity to allow time for one of your defenders to run to somewhere near the half way line to provide a potential out ball.

We always seem to prefer dinky passes out of crowded boxes rather than hoofing it as hard as we can up the field. I put it down to tactics and our players inability to kick the shit out of a ball up field.

This is down to Hughton, his tactics and not getting the players trained up to clear the ****ing ball effectively.

Hogwarts...........I mean Hogwash! Many times we put a boot through the ball and it goes way too far and it angers me that we can't gain control and the oppo brings it back right to our box

Done a Frexit, now in London
Left the Amex feeling deflated. We should have walked away with 3 points and 2 or more goals.

We clearly didn't make defending crosses and set pieces better as a New Years resolution. But, despite the calamity defending for both of their lucky plucky goals, I felt like it was a good performance. Possibly our best starting 11 that today. Would like to see the same against Chelski.
