I thought it was more a failing to give Brexit a chance before righting it off ( a common affliction) combined with a soupcon of still not coming to terms wth the referendum result.

Writing? :whistle::lolol::bigwave:

Impressd this thread is still top of the pops . . . .

Ah yes, it's been a loooong day, plus I'm on my third :whisky:

And you didn't spot my accidental typo, that I would have claimed to have been deliberate had you spotted it. :lolol:

Hope all's well

It is a little more complex than that. The Tories took us into the EU and drove through subsequent treaties. The Left has always been anti EU ( from Tony Benn through to Jeremy Corbyn). There is good reason for that as left wing
economics is incompatible with a capitalist free market in Labour and capital. These days the Party has many middle class liberals amongs its supporters and these tend to be Remainers.

Yeah I'm not disagreeing with that statement, it's obvious that labour with Corbyn failed because he was unable to fully back the Remain campaign, what I'm saying is the THREAD has become a perverse Left v Right circus.

I wouldn't agree with that at all, there are certain Leave posters on here that are clearly very left wing...

Anyway back to the main thrust of this thread, Le Pen appears to have momentum (sorry about the pun) in France and if she gets in I would say all bets for the EU are off...

Overall without them (nationwide) turning up at the vote last year-Brexit would never have happened.

It really hasn’t .
Its been mentioned enough times on here what strange bedfellows we all are.
Socialists,Tories, Greens, Lib Dems, Ukip, Labour and many in between united on both sides to fight their various corners.
There are those of course who seek to portray it as left/right, they seem rather miffed we all managed to bury the hatchet for once.

The excess of black over red tends to lay the lie that it's the Remainers who are keeping the thread going.

Seems only a couple of weeks ago you posted a link to something from the Express and one of the playground posse said he refused to discuss anything from it.
seem annoyed if you dont and annoyed if you do......begins with H i believe.

Good luck anyone snatching the victim card off Lincoln.
Not sure he wants to give it up just yet.

You're right. It's the Hate in the Express that makes me want to avoid it. I guess you love this sort of publication.

Years ago someone I'd known all my life nicked quite a lot of money from me. I was pretty sore until a friend pointed out that the one with the real problem, the one who was going to suffer in one way or another, wasn't me but the bloke who took the dosh. It was a fair lesson and it's served me well. If you want to call someone - me for example - a lying moron then I find it daft but it doesn't upset me. You're the one with a bit of a problem.

Let's face it any source that supports Brexit etc is dissed on here, which is probably why the votes went the way they did on the referendum and elections, this media was ignored by those on here and by many politicians.
Had they read/listened then maybe action would have been taken and the mood of the majority taken notice of.
