Its like waiting for a text from that top piece of clunge you connected with on Tinder, your phone pings, your heart races and its a muggy text asking about your recent car accident advising you to make a claim. Reading FFS! even the clubs name is mind numbingly boring much like the place itself. DULL DULL DULL.

What's the big problem?
Home tie.
Opposition from our league, so we can continue to give game time to a number who don't play in the Championship regularly
Solly, Uwe, Goldson back by then
Two new signings in the squad by then?

Exactly. Chance for Holla, Ince and Manu to shine again ( well, sort of) - assuming they are still here after the end of the transfer window.....

The opposition means we can change up to 11 players again ( hardly any lower ranked teams left in the competition anyway), such is the depth of the squad. We are going to have to use some of the U23 squad in the first team at some point. Maybe even at Newcastle this Saturday

Please please please can the attendance announcer laugh when he thanks the 78 fans who made the long trip from Reading.

The draw will probably end being more entertaining than the game.

As the home teams were draw I got quiet excited, not been there for ages, not been to the Olympic Stadium, then we missed Derby away which is probably the only other boring game having been there too often in the recent past, and then Reading.

I can't see the upper West or East being open, and I doubt that the North or South will be either. At least all who attend will be guaranteed a quick journey home.

Interesting to see what sort of team Hughton would put out against them.
Almost a month away so a bit early to preempt.
ITs been a while since we had a competitive home cup tie.

Sunderland, Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal in recent seasons - not too shabby...

Reading through? Not for me, Clive.

And Spurs away - Arsenal twice - we've had more than our fair share of good cup draws in the Amex era - anyone saying otherwise is silly :)

This thread is starting to be reminiscent of that on Oxford's forum after drawing us in the last round.

As an aside, it will be karma if we progress in the EFL Trophy and draw Oxford for the third time this year.

We didn't moan about drawing Reading in the FA Cup 3 ( I think) years ago. Well, not after easing past them, at least.... Plus it's at the Amex, so no need to venture into Ricky Gervais/David Brent territory.
